1. With all that is happening so quickly on the world scene, it is imperative that we as intercessors get our eyes on the things that are eternal. We started this morning's meeting reminding ourselves of what God's Word says about His Word!

    • For ever, O LORD, Your Word is settled in heaven.

      Psalms 119:89

    • There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of LORD, [YHWH] that shall stand.

      Proverbs 19:21

    • The voice said, Cry. He said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades: because the Spirit of the LORD blows upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withers, the flower fades: but the Word of our God shall stand for ever.

      Isaiah 40:6-8

    • Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away.

      Matthew 24:35

  2. Israel's new government is coming under tremendous pressure to divide God's land in order for another Arab Islamic state to be established in the Middle East, and to push Israel to give up the Golan Heights to Syria. And all of this because the world worships at the altar of peace - and appeasement.

    • Thank You Lord for Israel's new government. We see it as an answer to our many prayers.

    • Bless and protect Israel's foreign minister Avigdor Lieberman, who speaks the truth even when it gets him into trouble. Give him Your wisdom. The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from LORD. (Proverbs 16:1)

    • Thank You for Prime Minister Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu. Give him courage and wisdom to lead this nation at this time.

    • Do not allow this new government to cave in to the world's pressure. ...Behold, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations. (Numbers 23:9b)

    • Help the government come up with a "peace" plan that lines up with Your counsel.

    • We pray over Netanyahu, Lieberman and Defense Minister Ehud Barak: The king's heart is in the hand of LORD, as the rivers of water: He turns it wherever He will. (Proverbs 21:1)

    • LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing: He makes the thoughts of the people of none effect. The counsel of LORD stands for ever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations.

      Psalms 33:10-11

  3. Although our complete trust is in the God of Israel, we recognize that often He uses Israel's army - the IDF - to defend this people. Therefore the issue of new weapons is not a minor one. Israel is wanting to purchase America's new F-35 fighter jet, but the US continues to put all sorts of restrictions on the sale.

    • Abba, help Israel to develop new weapons so that she does not need to depend on her ever increasingly distant ally, America.

    • In fact, Lord, this would be a good time to break Israel completely from relying on the US.

    • We trust in You and Your power to protect this nation - for Your glory. ...LORD, it is nothing with You to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power. Help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on You, and in Your name we go against this multitude. O LORD, You are our God; let not man prevail against You. (2 Chronicles 14:11b)

    • Hear the word of LORD, O gentiles, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep [guard] him, as a shepherd does his flock.

      Jeremiah 31:10

    • Reveal any and all weaknesses in Israel's armed forces.

    • Anoint the IDF to fight the wars of the Lord in a righteous manner. [Throughout Scripture, Israel's enemies are in reality God's enemies. Psalm 83:2-4]

    • Keep Israel's submarines hidden and exactly where You want them to be.

    • Now also many nations are gathered against you, that say, Let her be defiled, let our eye look upon Zion. But they know not the thoughts of LORD, neither understand they His counsel - for He shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor. Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make your horn iron, I will make your hoofs brass. You shall beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto LORD, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.

      Micah 4:11-13

  4. Pope Benedict XVI is arriving in Israel next week.

    • Lord, protect the Pope when he is here from any attempted assassination attempts.

    • Abba, rumor has it that Israel is considering handing over certain lands to the Vatican. Forbid it. The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is Mine; for you are strangers and sojourners with Me. (Leviticus 25:23)

    • If the Pope is not saved, meet him in this land and save him.

    • Open up his eyes to the scriptural truth that You are still watching over Your covenant promises concerning the land of Israel and the Jewish people. As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. (Romans 11:28)

    • Also, open up the Pope's eyes to the real face of the spirit of Islam.

    • May his visit to Yad v'Shem, Israel's Holocaust memorial site and museum, touch him deeply - especially as he is from Germany - and reveal to him the danger that Israel, and the world, is still in today from that very same anti-Semitic, anti-God, spirit.

  5. Israel's new government is trying to pass a budget. This is always a battle as there is so many priority issues.

    • Lord, help this government pass a fair, balanced and realistic budget.

    • Anoint Yuval Steinitz in his role as Finance Minister under Netanyahu.

    • Please reveal Your mind as to what Israel's priorities should be for this time: the poor, water, defense, health care, aliyah and absorption, public relations, education, etc.

    • May those who have real needs be provided for.

    • Hedge in the media from distorting the truth about the budget considerations and protect Bibi from a media lynching.

    • Thank You for financially sustaining Israel up to this point in time.

    • He humbled you, and suffered you to hunger, and fed you with manna ...that He might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of LORD does man live.

      Deuteronomy 8:3

  6. We prayed for ourselves and all of you intercessors - to be able to hear God's voice clearly and discern the times in which we live. Things are occurring so fast that we need to know God's will and timing in order to pray effectively.

    • Lord, attune us even more clearly to Your voice. My sheep hear My voice. I know them, and they follow Me: (John 10:27)
    • Show us what You are doing and Your timing (Amos 3:7).
    • Help us not to get bogged down in fatalism, but to see the future through the eyes of hope and in the expectation of Your return.
    • Help us to know that our prayers make a difference. I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Therefore have I poured out My indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, says the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 22:30-31)
    • Wake up American intercessors to see the dangerous path their current leadership is taking them on because of how they are dealing with the "Israel problem".

    • And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

      Zechariah 12:9

    • For the nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish; yes, those nations shall be utterly wasted.

      Isaiah 60:12

  7. Speaking of nations that are coming against Israel, Iran continues full speed ahead with her nuclear development programs and her threats to annihilate that "germ" Israel. And the world does nothing but talk with the Iranian leadership. Oh, yes, the world does invite that Iranian Holocaust denier to speak at major global events.

    • Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered: let them also that hate Him flee before him...Rebuke the company of spearmen...scatter the people that delight in war.

      Psalms 68:1,30

    • Lord, deal with Iran in anyway that pleases You - whether you save multitudes, or send earthquakes, or cripple her economy, or whatever. Please do it soon.

    • God of heaven's armies, if You are going to use Israel as Your battle axe and weapons of war... (Jeremiah 51:20b), then anoint her for the task and give her courage and wisdom to finish the job completely.

    • In Iran's June elections, do not allow a "liberal" to win as even their liberal leaders want to destroy Israel. Continue to reveal the true face of Islam through the Iranian leadership.

    • In Israel, Moshe Ya'alon, a former IDF Chief of Staff, is overseeing the Iranian portfolio.

      Abba, give him real wisdom and a close connection with Netanyahu, Barak and the current IDF CoS, Gabi Ashkenazi.

    • Anoint our Iranian brothers and sisters to know how they should intercede for their nation at this time and give them all a deep revelation of Israel's end time restoration.

    • Continue to divide Iran from the inside as well. Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion. (Psalms 129:5)

    • No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of LORD, and their righteousness is of Me, says LORD.

      Isaiah 54:17
