We pray that the Lord would direct us in our prayers so that His will may be done through us His servants.

1. Vice President Biden and special envoy Mitchell will be coming this week to start "indirect talks" in order to restart the peace process. The sending of Biden may indicate the US administration's desire to put more pressure on Israel so that President Obama might be able to have a foreign policy "win" when all he his other foreign policy efforts have failed.

   • Protect us Lord from this so called "friendly pressure" to restart a process that is contrary to Your Word.

   • Give wisdom to our leaders to know how to be respectful, yet strong in the defense of Israel.

   • Give our leaders the integrity needed to stand firm.

   • Turn the hearts of our people towards pleasing You and not the world.

   • Watch over Your Word to fulfill what You have spoken concerning Israel.

   • Reveal EVERY hidden agenda that comes with this visit.

   • We ask that the media manipulation would come to nothing and have no power to influence.

   • May the Lord throw confusion among those who would seek to divide His Land.

   • I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.

     Joel 3:2

   • May the nation stand strong together and not walk forward into a pit.

2. And they that shall be of you will build the old waste places: you will raise up the foundations of many generations; and you will be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

   Isaiah 58:12

   The mayor of Jerusalem, Nir Barkat, proposed a plan that would help restore the City of David, which is the oldest part of Jerusalem. The plan called for building new apartment buildings for Jews and Arabs who live there as well as building a new park. The world immediately condemned this plan saying that Israel was trying to occupy Palestinian East Jerusalem. From international pressure, PM Netanyahu asked the mayor to put the plan on hold. The world does not see Israel's presence in East Jerusalem as legitimate even though "East" Jerusalem is biblical Jerusalem whose historical Jewish presence is well documented.

   • Thank you Lord that this city is one and that You see it as united.

   • Reveal the truth of the situation in contrast to what is being concocted in the media.

   • Overrule this international intimidation and give the mayor Nir Barkat strength to move forward.

   • Hold Netanyahu to the truth of Your Word so that he would release this work to go forward.

   • Help PM Netanyahu carry out those things that he has said in the past about Jerusalem being restored and built up.

   • Bring a desire in the Israeli public to see Jerusalem stay united and rebuilt.

   • Bring to nothing the plan to rewrite history which seeks to blot out the legitimacy of a Jewish presence in East Jerusalem.

   • Fulfill Your purposes for this part of the city.

3. On the heels of this last prayer, the issue of Rachel's Tomb came forward as a point of prayer again. The outcry against Netanyahu putting this holy site on the Heritage List continues. Simply saying that this site is important to Jews and that we want to preserve it has brought an uproar. This again shows that world does not believe in Israel's right to live in ALL of the Land the Lord has given her.

   • Give the people the integrity and strength to stand as one to possess the Land.

   • We ask that the friends of Israel would stand up and declare Israel's right to possess that which God has given.

   • Bring a new revelation to the Body of Messiah of how crucial it is for them to stand up and be counted concerning this issue.

   • Put in the hearts of the Israeli people a Godly Zionism that would propel them to possess and build the Land.

   • Lord, remember Your covenant with our fathers concerning the Land that You would give to their seed forever.

   • Allow Jews around the world to stand for truth and not despise what You have given us.

   • Forgive those Jews who have despised Your Land and turn them to the truth of Your Word.

   • Turn back the spirit of intimidation that seeks to bring Israel into submission.

4. This past week, Iran and Syria announced again, very clearly, that they have an eternal alliance between their countries. Israel is still talking about possibilities of "peace" talks with Syria, but with Syria being an "eternal friend" of a nation committed to her destruction, they could never be serious about peace. Israel's security is being threatened continually by countries like Iran and Syria, as well as their proxies, Hizbollah and Hamas. Iran's continued advance towards nuclear weapons goes unhindered by anyone who has the ability to act.

   • Fulfill Your purposes for Israel and turn back the advance of the enemy.

   • Dispel the lies that are coming as a result of this unholy alliance.

   • Reveal to our intelligence officials the true plans of our enemies.

   • In Your great mercy Lord, cause the enemies of Israel to fall into their own traps.

   • Sow discord and rebellion in the camps of our enemies, especially in this evil alliance.

   • Hedge in Hizbollah and Hamas who are acting as proxies for these evil nations.

   • Give a spirit of readiness and preparation to the IDF in the face of these great threats.

   • For Mine own sake, even for Mine own sake, will I do it: for how should My name be polluted? and I will not give My glory unto another. Hearken unto Me, O Jacob and Israel, My called; I am He; I am the first, I also am the last. Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and My right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together. All ye, assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them hath declared these things? The LORD hath loved him: He will do His pleasure on Babylon, and His arm shall be on the Chaldeans. I, even I, have spoken; yea, I have called him: I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous.

     Isaiah 48:11-15

5. We saw a great amount of rain fall on Israel over this past week. The Sea of Galilee is back over the bottom "red line" for the first time since the summer of 2008. This now has officially been the wettest winter in 5 years. However, the Galilee still has 4 meters to rise before it is full. We continue to appeal to the Lord for strong and steady rain to fall on His Land.

   • We ask for Your mercy Lord to give water so that Your Land may be fruitful.

   • Please don't let this nation come to a point of hunger and lack.

   • Protect the crops from the abnormal heat waves that have come this winter.

   • Let the rain be steady and replenish that which has been harmed through drought.

   • Thank You Lord for all the rain we have received this year.

   • Continue to bring the rains in their season.

   • Put into the hearts of the public a desire to conserve the water that we have.

   • Cause a love for the Land and a desire to care for her to be in the hearts of the people.

   • May this Land bloom and be bountiful!

6. We raised again the Lord's call for Aliyah.

   • Let the Jews form America and Europe come with their provisions.

   • Take away from the Jew abroad the fear of the "giants" in the Land.

   • May the Jews around the world see the need to arise and help build this Land.

   • Open the arms of this nation/government wide to receive those who would come.

   • Let the Jews awake to the truth concerning the situations in their countries - may they not be caught again by the enemy who seeks to lull them asleep and kill them.

   • May Jewish leaders be moved to make Aliyah and bring their whole communities with them.

   • Move the believing Jewish community to make Aliyah and don't allow a spirit of procrastination to settle on them.

   • We ask that provision would be given to those organizations who help facilitate Aliyah.

   • Let the leaders of Israel have heart to provide affordable housing for those Jews returning who are not affluent.

7. A young believer named Yosef Hassan Yosef is the son of a Hamas leader. He is writing a book that is meant to expose many things that are going on in the Hamas regime. He also worked as an Israeli spy for many years and will write about that experience as well.

   • Protect him from the attempts to harm him and his family.

   • May this book encourage others to break free from the oppression of Hamas's leadership.

   • Help truth come forward but give this young man the wisdom to know how to write it.

   • Cover and protect from coming out any secrets of how Israeli spies operate.
