But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children.

Lord let your mercy come upon us to know how to pray in the midst of trouble.

  1. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave a speech two days ago that was absolutely uncompromising and called out the international hypocrisy concerning the flotilla incident. Yesterday, it was reported that he was thinking about "loosening" the blockade and giving inspection over to international soldiers. We must lift up the hands of this man who is under huge pressure to lift the blockade of Gaza. If it is lifted or even "loosened" it could open up a way for weapons to flow freely into Hamas' hands.

    We prayed:

    • Thank you Lord that Netanyahu was able to clearly state what his priorities are and we pray that he would be able to stand by what he said.

    • Let him see the long-term consequences of any compromise concerning the blockade.

    • Help Netanyahu to discern between ideas that seem smart and wisdom that is right.

    • Lord, draw the PM into your Word so that He can see how you keep your promises.

    • Give him the words he needs in order to proclaim the truth.

    • And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in Your judgments.

      Psalm 119:43

    • Give Netanyahu the grace to rightly respond to the Obama Administration in the States.

    • Lord, give our PM the heart we see in Joshua and Caleb when they gave the good report which was contrary to those wanted to give up because the job was too big.

    • Let all those who around him speak the truth of Your promises to Israel.

    • Return our judges as of old who will be founded in truth and not "political correctness"

    • Let Netanyahu use his vast knowledge of history to make right decisions.

  2. There is a 2nd flotilla that is preparing to sail. It should be here in this coming week with the same goals as this past flotilla. The government and the military need to know how this 2nd attempt to illegally break the blockade should be handled. From everything we see from this past attempt, this is a lose-lose situation for Israel.

    We prayed:

    • Give our leaders the ability to guard over this nation.

    • Provide wisdom to those who will make decisions about how this 2nd flotilla will be handled.

    • Help us stand against the intended purpose of these flotillas which is to weaken Israel internationally.

    • Let us not be frozen from action by seeing this situation as lose-lose.

    • May our soldiers be emboldened to do what needs to be done and don't allow them to believe the lie that what they are doing is shameful.

    • Give Israel good intelligence of who and what is on this next flotilla.

    • Give the Navy the strategy to stop this flotilla without loss of life.

    • Lord, lift up your hand and stop this flotilla from coming (by the weather or malfunction).

    • Give our soldiers discerning eyes to see what is there.

    • May our leaders have the words they need to describe this new war we are in.

  3. This week's Torah portion contains the entrance of the 12 spies into the Land and their report back to the children of Israel. This section is about the truth of the Land reported by Joshua and Caleb versus the "slander" spoken against the Land by the other 10 spies. We must pray that the Truth of the situation and the Lord's Word would overrule the slander being brought forth in the media. These false reports are also engendering a new hatred towards the Jews and Israel around the world.

    We prayed:

    • The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

      Proverbs 12:19

    • Lord, expose the lies that are being spoken in the media.

    • Show and bring forward the great extent to which the Israeli soldiers took in order to protect lives.

    • Bring forth the truth and let it stand!

    • Cause the media to bring forth truth despite their desire not to.

    • Expose the agendas driven by the media's ownership.

    • Raise up voices for truth around the world and let them be heard.

    • Silence those Israeli voices who would speak slander from within this nation.

    • Let those dealing with PR in Israel not shrink back from speaking truth.

    • For Your Name's Sake, protect our Land and strike down the words that rise up against Your Word.

    • Help believers and Jewish communities around the world see the lies in the media.

    • Wake up Your Body to pray with knowledge of the truth.

  4. The enemies of Israel seem to be growing in their unity. Sanctions on Iran were supposed to be brought forward, but it was stopped by the smoke screen put up by the joint Turkey/Brazil plan. The sanctions are supposed to brought forward again this week, but who knows what will happen. Turkey, who sits on the UN security council, is now seen clearly as an enemy of Israel and that they see Iran as the power broker in the region. Turkey seems to be rallying Israel's enemies using what happened with the flotilla as the excuse. Hamas also saw what happened this past week and has become emboldened.

    We prayed:

    • Bring trouble into the relationships between Iran, Turkey, and Brazil.

    • Throw confusion into the camps of the enemy.

    • Bring to nothing the plans of these nations who are uniting against Israel.

    • Move in natural wonders in these nations so that the focus would be taken away from Israel.

    • And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.

      2 Chronicles 20:22-23

    • May the children of Israel cry out to You Lord so that you will lay ambushes for our enemies.

    • Lord, prevent our enemies from agreeing on anything.

    • Let our enemies know that they are not fighting a Land, but they are fighting the Owner of the Land - use this to bring them to repentance.

  5. In this critical time in Israel's history, the Body needs to understand the season we are in. We need to feel the urgency to pray and we need to know how to pray. The Body must wake up and answer the call of God to stand for Israel.

    We prayed:

    • Wake the Body up to recognize the role you have given us in regards to Israel.

    • Help the Body discern the truth of these times and speak into it.

    • Our response to the truth can bring life if we respond positively and loss if we respond negatively - help the Body see truth clearly so that life can come forth.

    • Convict the leaders of the Body of Messiah to speak out boldly on behalf of Israel.

    • Remove from the us a spirit of hyper-focus on appeasing through political correctness - put in us a passion to speak forth Your WHOLE Word.

    • Protect us from the onslaught of lies coming concerning Israel.

    • We cry our for Your Mercy to be upon us.

  6. We ended our time by praying that the Lord would encourage the Body here in Israel in the face of persecution. May the Lord reveal Himself to us in a fresh, new way this Shabbat.

Please pray for IFI as we prepare to lead a prayer conference in Scotland starting Tuesday the 8th of June and lasting a week. Please pray that all would be safe while traveling and that the Lord would be glorified through the conference.
