The counsel of the LORD stands for ever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations.

Psalm 33:11

1. Prime Minister Netanyahu has been presented with incentives by the United States that will go into effect IF the settlement freeze is extended. World opinion stands squarely on the side of extending the freeze of settlement building and Netanyahu is reportedly considering the idea. All the pressures of the world seem to be descending upon him and without the Lord, there is no way he can stand. We need to lift up our leader and his government so that they would have the strength to make decisions based upon the Truth of God's Word alone.

   • Give this government the vision to see what it truth and what is falsehood.

   • When many words are written and spoken, give them the ability to rightly discern out the words.

   • Give this government the ability to stand firm on Your Word and not bend to pressure.

   • Declare Your Will in the situation and shake the plans of the enemy who seeks to divide.

   • May the weakest to the strongest in this government hear Your voice and act accordingly.

   • Provide an escape for Netanyahu if that is what he needs at this time.

   • Snatch him from the hands of those who seek his life.

   • And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

     Isaiah 61:4

   • Thank You that You have declared that the ruined cities will be rebuilt and that the building now is fulfilling this promise.

   • Let Your Word go forth into this situation and not all the opinions of the media.

   • Help us to see what is really behind these "talks" so that we can know how to pray.

   • Make Jerusalem a city of Truth and my Your Truth go forth from here!

2. Israel's Citizenship Law is about to pass its last hurdle in the Knesset. This Law is creating large divisions within the people, because the law requires that anyone who wants to be a citizen must take a loyalty oath to Israel as a "Jewish and Democratic" State. This doesn't apply to those Jews making Aliyah, so the accusations of racism abound. One of Israel's greatest weaknesses has been internal division and now, more than ever, we need to be united. We also need to be free to declare our identity, without apology, as a Jewish nation without being afraid of other nations.

   • Even though it seems to be an impossible thing, bring this nation into true unity in You Lord.

   • Raise up voices within Israel that would declare this message of unity and make people aware of how dangerous divisions like this can be.

   • Show us what it means to truly be united as a Jewish Nation.

   • Raise up prophetic voices who will declare what that unity needs to be.

   • We appeal to You Lord to sort us out as a nation.

   • Cleanse us and sprinkle clean water on us.

   • May we not be ashamed of our identity as a Jewish nation any more.

   • Help us to see that we don't need to make excuses for being a Jewish Nation.

   • And you shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that you should be mine.

     Leviticus 20:26

   • Help us to see that it is a blessing for us to be set apart and not a curse.

   • Help us to see and walk in our responsibility as a set apart people.

   • Thank You that the world indirectly acknowledges us as set apart through all the attention we get.

3. We need to keep a sharp lookout on our Northern border and Lebanon. The UN is set to release it's report on the assassination of PM Hariri. All indications are that the blame will be placed on Hizbollah. Hizbollah is already placing their people around the country in key areas in anticipation of a conflict which may erupt after the report comes out. The president of Iran is scheduled to make a trip to Lebanon's southern border in the coming weeks. It seems clear that Iran is hoping to make Lebanon a vassal state though its proxy Hizbollah. Israel needs to be ready for what ever comes.

   • Then shall your light break forth as the morning, and your health shall spring forth speedily: and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your rearguard.

     Isaiah 58:8

   • Give us a deeper understanding that You are the defender and rearguard of Israel.

   • Cause us to humbly turn to You for protection in the face of this real threat.

   • Keep us alert as a nation to this threat and don't allow us to be distracted by this "peace process".

   • Distract the President of Iran from fulfilling his intentions to stand on the Lebanese border with Israel.

   • Frustrate the plans of our enemies.

   • Cause division to be in the camp of our enemies - we pray that Syria wouldn't be able to tolerate the planned Iranian takeover of Lebanon.

   • Let these "good friends", Syria and Iran, be divided and separated.

   • We pray that this UN report would come forth and that Hizbollah would be put to flight.

   • Let Israel see the truth and not be captivated by the veil of the media.

   • Deliver Your people from this real threat.

   • May Israel see ALL the movements of our enemies so that we would not be caught by surprise.

   • Protect all of the soldiers in the IDF as they run exercises to prepare.

   • Help us to recognize who our enemies are - give us good intelligence and the wisdom to process it.

4. Thus says the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age. And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets there.

   Zechariah 8:4-5

   While the nations rage around us, the Lord continues to call back His people to His Land. He has promised to establish us here as a people and nowhere else.

   • Thank You for answering all the prayers concerning Aliyah and we ask for an increase.

   • Thank You that there is a need to build in this Land because of the people who are coming in.

   • Release the Aliyah from the West that is still merely a trickle - We ask for Your mercy to draw the Jewish people in love so they don't get chased out.

   • And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine there; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, says the LORD Your God.

     Amos 9:14-15

   • Help us as a people to be fruitful in Your Land so that the world may see the blessing You have placed here - May the Jews see it and long to return to this good Land.

   • Bring back the Ethiopian Jews who have been left behind - bring along side them government or private agencies who will help them integrate with Israeli Society.

   • Open the doors for believing Jews to return and give them the willingness to stand, push, or fight for their inheritance.

5. Having just prayed that this Land would bloom and be fruitful, we recognize that water is needed to fulfill this. The rainy season is upon us and Israel desperately needs a good, wet winter.

   • Let there be an abundance of rain this season.

   • Thank You Lord that you will never again uproot Israel, but that which You have planted needs rain. Remember Your Word and fulfill it for Your glory.

   • Let the water that does fall be captured and not simply allowed to run off into the sea.

   • Help Israelis to become more responsible and aware concerning water.

   • Refresh this Land that is dry and thirsty.

   • Cause water to flow where it doesn't normally flow and from sources yet unknown.

   • Let water rise up from the ground in abundance.

   • Bring large amounts of snow to the Hermon so that the Jordan river may be replenished.

6. As the Shabbat comes in, congregations all over the country will meet and lift the name of Yeshua. The Body here is in a constant state of weariness and is in need of a spiritual rain.

   • Send a wave of refreshment to flow over the Body here in the Land.

   • Restore and refresh the leaders as the minister to the Body.

   • Give the leaders everything they need in order to feed the sheep.

   • Give knowledge to the leaders to know how to be ministers of healing to those sheep who are wounded.

   • The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for sordid gain, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock.

     1 Peter 5:1-3

     May our leaders be inspired to this kind of leadership.

   • Help our leaders to prioritize their families and marriages they way they should be.

   • Use the whole Body as an instrument of love and help to those in need.

   • Help us to have a giving heart and not one that just takes.

   • Let us be united in Your Son Yeshua - Help IFI to be an instrument of godly unity within the Body.
