For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall you call upon me, and you shall go and pray unto me, and I will hear you. And you shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, says the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, says the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

Jeremiah 29:11-14

1. Prime Minister Netanyahu is going to the United States in the coming week. He is supposed to meet with Secretary of State Clinton and VP Biden while he is there concerning the peace effort. The chief Palestinian negotiator has given the US two weeks to restart negotiations before they back out entirely. Netanyahu will be under immense pressure to bow to demands by the PA and the US. We must lift up the hands of the Prime Minister as he is away.

   • Let him be a man of vision and courage in the face of strong opposition

   • Help him to be articulate and be decisive in his words so that the message You give him will resonate with the American people.

   • Place on him a fresh anointing for clear, strong communication.

   • Strengthen him in body and spirit.

   • Give Netanyahu discerning eyes and a discerning heart to see the traps that are being laid for him.

   • Give him appointments that he was not expecting that would encourage him to stand firm on what You have declared in Your Word.

   • Give him a clarity of purpose and drive from him all doubt.

   • Divide and confuse the plans of those who would pressure him to do something against Your Word.

   • Protect this nation as he is away.

2. There were huge elections in the States over this past week and we now see a very different political landscape in America. Some are saying that the losses the Obama Administration has suffered would cause the focus to shift from Israel to internal issues. Others have said that foreign policy is all that is left to the Administration and that it will press even harder for a US brokered "peace". With Israel so tightly knit to the US, we must pray that the Lord would reign in this new political environment.

   • Thank you Lord for the change we see in America.

   • May the Obama Administration be buried in the new internal concerns and stop pressuring Israel.

   • Use the outcome of this election to serve Your purpose for Israel and America.

   • Thank You for the friend of Israel who were elected and may their voices be heard loud and clear in Congress.

   • May this be a time of rest for Israel from the intense pressure she it has been under.

3. The situation in Lebanon continues to be a point of concern. The UN report about the assassination of PM Hariri is still set to come out soon, and Hizbollah continues to prepare. The radical group has said they will boycott the government and they have even gone so far as to say they will take over Beruit if the report comes out. Israel needs to be ready for what ever happens in Lebanon. Any conflict there would inevitably spill over the border.

   • For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan.

     Isaiah 2:12-13

   • Bring low the pride we see in Hizbollah that raises itself against You.

   • May Hizbollah over-reach and be crushed as a result.

   • Bring forth the findings of the UN commission in Your timing and may the commission have the integrity to bring a true report.

   • Don't allow the UN commission to succumb to the pressure from other nations.

   • Bring the truth of the Hariri assassination to light.

   • May this report be just the beginning for revelation for what is happening in Lebanon. May other revelations follow which show the involvement of Syria, Iran, and other radical groups in that nation.

   • Make Israel ready for what ever is going to happen and don't allow us to be distracted by other things.

   • Have mercy on this situation limit the amount of blood that is shed.

   • Let Your grace be upon the Body in Lebanon - give revelation to them and the boldness to speak this revelation.

   • Help us as intercessors be watchful and show us how to pray.

4. And you shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, And shall put my spirit in you, and you shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then you shall know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, says the LORD.

   Ezekiel 37:13-14

   The integrity of this Land and the Jewish peoples' right to be here is constantly under attack.

   • Thank You for Your Word that is firm and secure.

   • Protect this Land from our enemies from within and without.

   • Give to Israel the borders spoken of in Your Word.

   • Forgive us for not holding on to the Land You have given us.

   • May our enemies at home and abroad not be able to communicate or organize.

   • Tie the hands of those UN organizations that would undermine what You want to do here.

   • May the Israeli government finally say, "Enough, let us rise and build."

   • Forgive us as a nation when we despised Your inheritance.

   • Return us to the right stewardship of what You have given us.

5. In the early part of 2011, the IDF and the intelligence community in Israel will go through some huge changes. The head of the IDF, military intelligence, and the Mossad will all be changed. Each new head will appoint new officers under them causing a complete shake-up in the leadership that exists now. This has the potential to cause insecurity in the military because no one knows what kind of leadership these men will bring to these high positions. This will be a vulnerable time here and we must pray the Lord's protection over it.

   • Watch over the IDF during this vulnerable time.

   • Blind the eyes of our enemies if there are any vulnerabilities that they could exploit.

   • Allow the management change to be good and in complete order.

   • Take away the feeling of insecurity from the soldiers and replace it with confidence.

   • We ask that You would rule over the new head of the IDF, Galant - use him as a tool in Your hand.

   • May the leaders of Mossad and the Military Intelligence be discerning - make our agents in foreign nations be crafty and protected.

   • We ask there would not be an undermining that takes place when new generals are appointed to their jobs.

   • Put everything in line quickly as the change-over is happening.

   • Give all of our soldiers strength and inspiration.

6. When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue fails for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together.

   Isaiah 41:17-19

   Israel is still in desperate need of water and we continue our prayer watch concerning provision for this Land.

   • We cry out to You to fulfill what You have spoken in Your Word.

   • Use this desperate situation to bring glory to Your holy Name. Cause this Land to be fruitful despite what the forecasters are saying.

   • Use this situation to turn Your people to Yourself. Cause them to cry out to You from this need for water.

   • Bring forth human ingenuity and good stewardship that will help relieve the strain on this countries water system.

   • Help us to put our hope in You and not in experts.

   • Bring water from unlooked-for sources.

7. The Body in Israel, as in the rest of the world, is in need of constant prayer. We receive constant animosity from other groups in our community and there have been incidents of persecution. We need to come together as a whole Body to face all that we need to face here. Please pray that the Lord would rule and reign over the Body of Messiah in Israel.

   • Forgive us for building our own kingdoms when we should be about the business of building Yours.

   • May the Body here unite in the face of opposition.

   • Place Your hand upon the leadership here in Israel - protect each marriage and save those marriages that may be in trouble.

   • Give our leaders humility and a profound message of truth to speak.

   • Cause us to be a good witness to our community - remind us of the tremendous responsibility we have.

   • Raise up a living Body that would be nourished by You.

   • Give us courage and boldness to stand on Your Word.

8. When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations; Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.

   Ezekiel 39:27-28

   Our continual prayer before the Lord is that He will fulfill His promise to bring the Children of Israel back home.

   • Thank You for those who have already come home - plant them deeply in this Land.

   • Speak clearly to Your people in exile about Aliyah.

   • May the Jews of the West not live in denial of the dangers that are rising against them even now.

   • Remove from them the things that holding Your people back from coming here (fear, comfort, wealth, etc)

   • Bring the Jewish believers to Israel despite the difficulties they will face here.

   • Change our understanding of what "safety" is and allow us to see that safety is acting in agreement to Your will.

9. The IFI Prayer conference is coming up in January. We would appreciate Your prayers concerning this conference and all the Lord wants to do through it.

   • Bring the people who You want here Lord and keep away all those You don't want to come.

   • May finances not be an obstacle to anyone that You desire to be here.

   • Direct all the preparations that are being made.

   • Protect the leadership from spiritual and physical attack as we prepare ourselves to be used by the Lord during this conference.
