1. With all the negative news in the world, it is always good to start by remembering who God is and what He has done.

    • My heart rejoices in the LORD, my horn is exalted in the LORD, my mouth is enlarged over my enemies; because I rejoice in Your salvation. There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside You: neither is there any rock like our God.

      1 Samuel 2:1-2

    • We affirm Your total sovereignty in the world today.

    • The LORD reigns… (Psalm 93:1; 96:10; 97:1; 99:1) Amen!

    • We bless You for always watching over Israel - and us (Psalm 121:3-4).

    • The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous run into it, and is safe.

  2. US President Barak Obama gave a Middle East policy speech yesterday to the US State Department. It revealed a complete misunderstanding of the Islamic mindset and the forces now causing chaos in this area - as well as a shocking new demand on Israel. Obama said Israel must pull back to the 1967 borders in order to allow the creation of "Palestine". Previously, all US efforts were aimed at fostering negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians. Obama has bypassed negotiations and pre-determined the final outcome - giving this gift to terrorists who want to destroy Israel. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin 'Bibi' Netanyahu is meeting with Obama today and has already rejected these conditions. We must support Netanyahu in prayer because of the intense pressure he will face by this anti-biblical Obama stance.

    • Lord, we pray this verse for Netanyahu.

      Of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by Him; and the LORD shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between His shoulders.

      Deuteronomy 33:12

    • Abba, Bibi's heart is in Your hand (Proverbs 21:1-2). Strengthen and use him.

    • Do not allow him to compromise that which he stated in the Knesset [Israel's parliament] at the beginning of this week. Hold him into his very clear and very reasonable policies: no return of the so-called Palestinian refugees; no division of Jerusalem; a demilitarized Palestinian state; Israel's retention of major settlement blocks in Judea and Samaria; and an Israeli military presence in the Jordan valley.

    • Surround him and his advisors with Your divine protection in everyway.

    • Do not allow Obama to manipulate him. We declare over Netanyahu,

      Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What has God wrought!

      Numbers 23:23

    • Use Netanyahu to bring forth a biblical warning from Zion - to Obama and to all those who are trying to divide Your land (Joel 3:1-2).

    • Lord, we trust You to defend this nation - not Netanyahu. Yet You have raised him up for just this time - so anoint and use Bibi for Your holy name's sake (1 Samuel 2:10).

  3. Netanyahu is to give two major speeches while in the US, and probably several media interviews. He is speaking to AIPAC, the American pro-Israel lobby group. Obama is to speak to them as well. Bibi's second speech, May 24th, will be to the US Congress.

    • Lord, as Your Spirit did with Gideon (Judges 6:34), may He clothe Himself with Bibi and speak directly through him whenever Netanyahu has opportunity to speak in America.

    • Pre-empt his message with Your message.

      The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD.

      Proverbs 16:1

    • Encourage Netanyahu to quote from Your Word.

    • The LORD said unto him, Who made man's mouth?…Have not I the LORD? Therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall say.

      Exodus 4:11-12

    • May the US Congress take a strong stand for Israel - even in the face of Obama's speech.

  4. What Obama and his administration is trying to do with God's/Israel's land is driving the US deeper and deeper into the Valley of God's judgment (Joel 3:1-2). The only group in America that can turn His hand away is the true Church - by standing in the gap.

    • Lord Yeshua, wake up the elders in Your Body in America to warn their congregations of the great danger of this latest Obama speech and to call their people to prayer.

    • A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet…LORD, I have heard Your speech, and was afraid: LORD, revive Your work…in wrath remember mercy.

      Habakkuk 3:1-2

    • Encourage well-know Christian leaders to publically challenge Obama on his policies concerning Israel. Let them use the Word of God (Isaiah 55:11).

    • Let media people - like Glenn Beck - warn the nation of the danger of resisting that which You are doing with all of Your heart and all of Your soul (Jeremiah 32:41).

    • Set the Christian press in America free from all their anti-Israel, liberation theology and use them also to wake up the church.

    • Raise up many intercessors for just a time like this (Esther 4:14).

  5. Israel's political scene is not very politically correct. There is a lack of respect among too many of Israel's politicians towards their fellows. It is wrong.

    • Lord, lift up a godly standard in Israel's political scene.

    • We remind You of Your promise to do just that:

      And I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning: afterward you shall be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.

      Isaiah 1:26

    • Have mercy on opposition leader Tzipi Livni and deal with her obnoxious statements about Netanyahu and the current government.

    • Stop the backstabbing - especially when Bibi is out of the land. Convict the backstabbers.

    • Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit of it.

      Proverbs 18:21

  6. We prayed for Israelis to realize that their ultimate help and protection is in the God of Israel - not the prime minister, the army, or any of her allies.

    • I will lift my eyes unto the hills. From where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. He will not suffer your foot to be moved. He that guards you will not slumber. Behold, he that guards Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

      Psalms 121:1-4

    • To You I lift up my eyes, You who dwell in the heavens. Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden to the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until He will have mercy upon us. Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt. Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, with the contempt of the proud.

      Psalms 123:1-4

    • Set Israel free from her dependence on, and idolatry towards, America.

    • Use Obama's speech to wake up many Israelis to the danger of a dependent relationship on the United States.

    • Cut the ropes that are binding the Israeli ship of state to other nations and preventing it from moving out to fulfill Your perfect will.

    • How shall I curse, whom God has not cursed? Or how shall I defy, whom the LORD has not defied? For from the top of the rocks I see him [Israel], and from the hills I behold him. Behold, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.

      Numbers 23:8-9

  7. There are continued calls and threats of more marches on Israel's borders. Although last weekend ended without any major problems, still Israel's security forces realized that they were not as ready as they thought to deal with "unarmed" civilians.

    • Captain of the Hosts of the God of Israel, enable the IDF and Israel's other security forces to learn the lessons of last weekend.

    • Give them eyes to see the danger both from within, as well as from without.

    • Help Israel to develop cutting edge non-lethal crowd control devices.

    • Yet if needed, release all of Israel's security forces to protect this nations using whatever force they need to do the job.

    • Now also many nations are gathered against you, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion. But they do not know the thoughts of the LORD, neither do they understand His counsel, for He shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor. Arise and thresh, daughter of Zion: for I will make your horn iron, I will make your hoofs bronze: You shall beat in pieces many people, and I will consecrate their gain unto the LORD, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.

      Micah 4:11-13

We ended by praying for Israel's water situation. Although there has been a surprising amount of rain these last two months, Israel is still in a crisis situation. Please continue to ask the Lord of heaven and earth, to open up the heavens and pour water upon this earth.

May the Lord Yeshua Himself encourage and protect you as you continue to stand on the walls of Jerusalem, pleading for His kingdom to come and His will to be done - here in Israel and unto the ends of the earth.

Your eyes shall see, and you shall say, The LORD will be magnified from the border of Israel.
