1. This week's prophetic portion begins with the following verse:

    • He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root. Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.

      Isaiah 27:6

    • We bless You Lord that we are seeing this word come to pass today in many ways.

    • We are privileged to be alive at a time when You are fulfilling so many of Your prophetic promises - both to this nation and to the rest of the world.

    • Thank You for watching over Your Word to accomplish it (Jeremiah 1:12).

    • We depend totally on Your faithfulness, Your grace and mercy and Your abundant love and we thank You for making them so readily available to all that call on Your name.

  2. The north of Israel is receiving much needed rain and snow. The forecast is for wet weather to continue and spread over the rest of the nation during this weekend.

    • …[Our Father in heaven] makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

      Matthew 5:45

    • We bless You for this direct answer to our prayers.

    • Thank You for sending the rain and snow to just the right places in Israel.

    • Lord, fill up the Sea of Galilee this season - as well as all of Israel's aquifers.

    • Use this as a sign to Your people that You are alive and on the move in Israel today.

    • When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue fails for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys. I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water…That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD has done this, and the Holy One of Israel has created it.

      Isaiah 41:17-20

    • We praise You that You can use weather like this to ward off any attacks from Israel's enemies (Job 38:22-23)!

  3. Another Iranian nuclear scientist was assassinated this week. Iran has threatened to get revenge both on America and Israel - 'the Zionist entity' - an not just in the Middle East, but globally. Israel has placed all of its overseas missions on high alert.

    • Abba, we ask for Your protection for Your people throughout the world.

    • We thank You that You are the Guardian of Israel (Psalm 121:4).

    • Hear the word of the LORD, O gentiles…He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep/guard him, as a shepherd does his flock.

      Jeremiah 31:10

    • Prevent any more successful kidnapping attempts of Israelis or Jews.

    • Enable there to be clear communications between the various intelligence services.

    • May the enemy fall into the trap he is planning for the innocent.

      They have prepared a net for my steps…they have dug a pit before me, into which they have fallen.

      Psalms 57:6

  4. We continued to ask God to push Iran into making a major mistake in judgment so that nations will need to take action to stop this fanatical regime from obtaining nuclear weapons.

    • Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

      Psalms 129:5

    • God, You said pride goes before destruction (Proverbs 16:18). See how proud and arrogant Iran's President Ahmadinejad is. Deal with him in such a way that You receive the glory.

    • Use the threat of sanctions against Iranian oil to send the leadership into a panic which could result in their making the wrong decisions.

    • If it is in line with Your will, send a lying spirit into their midst (1 Kings 22:21-23).

    • Increase the 'accidents' in many of their nuclear facilities.

    • Have mercy on the Iranian people by setting them free from the current leadership.

  5. God's will might be to use Israel as His weapon of war in dealing with Iran's overlords. While not our first choice, it is how God has dealt with His enemies in the Middle East ever since He restored this nation (Jeremiah 51:19-24; Ezekiel 37:9-14; Micah 4:11-13).

    • From this week's prophetic portion:

      In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the remnant of His people, and for a spirit of judgment to him that sits in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.

      Isaiah 28:5-6

      Lord, we hold those verses before You for Israel's leadership.

    • Give Israel's leaders accurate intelligence information concerning all aspects of the Iranian nuclear program - including locations and weaknesses.

    • If You do use Israel to deal with this global threat, reveal to her leadership the when, where and how of any attack (2 Samuel 5:23-24).

    • Enable both military and political leaders to be in one accord and to have clarity of purpose on any measures they are led to take.

    • We desire for You - not the IDF - to receive the glory.

      Behold, I will make you a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth. You shall thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and make the hills as chaff. You shall fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, the whirlwind shall scatter them: and you shall rejoice in the LORD, and glory in the Holy One of Israel.

      Isaiah 41:15-16

    • May one result of any Israeli attack be that the fear of Israel's God falls on many Moslems. And then may many of them be saved because of this (Proverbs 1:7).

    • Save many Israelis as well.

      Thus says the Lord GOD; When I have gathered…Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and am sanctified in them in the sight of the gentiles, then they shall dwell in their land that I have given My servant Jacob. They shall dwell safely, build houses, and plant vineyards. Yes, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgments on all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the LORD their God.

      Ezekiel 28:25-26

  6. Under the auspices of the ME Quartet [the US, UN, EU & Russia], meetings between the Palestinian Authority and Israel have been held in Amman, Jordan. There are conflicting reports of the results. The PA leadership still insists that Israel agree with all of their demands before they enter 'real' negotiations. Of course, at that point what is left to negotiate? Since 'peace' will result in a 'Palestine' being created on God's land He has given to Israel for His glory, a successful conclusion of these talks is against His revealed will. So we prayed for them to simply fail and for the 'peace' process to die - once and for all.

    • We strongly reject any agreement that results in Your land being turned over to Allah!

    • Lord, continue to harden hearts of the Palestinian leaders for Your glory (Exodus 7:3-5)!

    • Cause them to make such rigid demands that no Israeli leader could - or would - accept.

    • Give Israel's representative real wisdom and courage at these meetings (Joshua 1:6-9).

    • Continue to reveal the true goal of the Palestinian leaders - to see all of Israel destroyed.

    • Give Israelis ears to hear what the Palestinians are really saying and not to make excuses for what are very radical and revealing statements (Psalm 83:1-5).

    • Lord Yeshua, Your Body also needs to see what is happening here in order to stand against the dividing of Your land (Joel 3:1-2).

    • Wake up our brothers and sisters to see that an end time false peace is prophesied (Isaiah 28:14-18; Jeremiah 6:14; 8:11; Daniel 8:25).

    • But of the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that I write unto you. For you know very well that the day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape. But you…are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. You are all the children of light, the children of the day… Therefore let us not sleep…but let us watch and be sober.

      Thessalonians 5:1-6

  7. We held up before the Lord some of Israel's leaders who have stood firmly against the tide of appeasement and compromise. Although not agreeing 100% with everything they say and do, these brave souls are standing in the gap for Israel politically before a very unfriendly world. There are more, but we list the following and may the Spirit guide you in prayer.

    • Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

    • Vice Prime Minister Moshe Ya'alon

    • Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman

    • Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon

    • Cabinet member Benny Begin

    • Bank of Israel President Stanley Fischer

    • IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz

    • Israel's UN ambassador Ron Prosor

    • Israel's US ambassador Michael Oren

    • Israel's UK ambassador Daniel Taub

    • Make these men - and others - statesmen for Your nation and people.

  8. We also prayed for the divisions that are appearing in this nation - between secular and ultra-Orthodox, settlers and non-settler, left and right, rich and poor, Ethiopian and other groups, native born Israelis and immigrants, men and women. While these conflicts are going on in many other nations, this nation has a promise from God that He would make us one in His hand when we returned from exile and inhabited the mountains of Israel (Ezekiel 37:21-22).

  9. We ended by praying for IFI's International Prayer Conference starting January 23rd.

    • Abba, this is Your conference. Therefore, we desire for Your will to be done - and only Your will (Matthew 6:10).

    • Bring the leadership team into a deep unity of Your Spirit (Ephesians 4:3).

    • Give them an ability to hear Your voice and not be deceived by the voice of any other.

      My sheep hear My voice. I know them, and they follow Me:

      John 10:27

    • Also bring the rest of the congregation/conference, gathering in Jerusalem, into a quick and strong unity of Your Spirit - knowing that they are called and equipped for this battle.

    • May You communicate Your specific target/targets for prayer for this week - and for the week following on the Prayer Tour.

    • Then aid the leadership team to communicate them clearly.

    • Anoint the messages that go forth each evening.

    • Anoint the translators.

    • Watch over all the equipment and recordings.
