1. This week's Torah portion focuses on the prophecies of Balaam.

   • God is not a man that He should lie, neither the son of man that He should repent. Has He said, and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken, and shall He not make it good?

     Numbers 23:19

   • We are so blessed that we can rely on Your promises (2 Corinthians 1:20).

   • We rely on You being forever faithful, merciful and righteous (2 Thessalonians 3:3).

   • Thank You God, that You know the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10).

   • Hallelujah! The Word of the Lord is truth (John 17:17).

   • You [Yeshua] are worthy to take the book and to open its seals, for You were slain and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every kindred and tongue and people and nation. And You made us kings and priests to our God, and we will reign over the earth.

     Revelation 5:9-10

2. There is a coalition crisis in Israel's government over the writing of universal draft law. Israel needs to have both the ultra-Orthodox and Israeli Arabs serve their nation in some capacity. We prayed for Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu and Kadima head Shaul Mofaz to come up with a godly bill to present to the Knesset - Israel's parliament.

   • From this week's prophetic portion: He has shown you, O man, what is good, and what the LORD requires of you…to do justice, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8)

   • Lord, help Netanyahu and Mofaz present a bill that includes all of those elements.

   • May Netanyahu's goal be to do what is right - and not just to save the coalition.

   • Abba, cause Bibi to fear You more than any man. The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the LORD shall be safe. (Proverbs 29:25)

   • Give wisdom so that what is passed fosters unity and not division (Psalm 133:1).

   • Release the ultra-Orthodox from all man-made regulations and traditions that interfere with the biblical keeping of Your law (Matthew 15:3).

   • Raise up righteous Israeli Arab leaders who will encourage their people to do the right thing in relation to the nation they live in and obtain many benefits from.

3. Yesterday, on the eve of the 6th anniversary of the Second Lebanon War, IDF generals issued a warning to Lebanon that the next conflict would be fought differently. The previous war was fought against the terrorist group Hizbullah, but as they are now part of the Lebanese government and have placed many of their 40,000 + missiles in homes, schools and hospitals, the next war will be against the nation of Lebanon itself. And this time, the IDF's goal is for an overwhelming victory. So we prayed for the situation on Israel's northern border.

   • Thank You for the clear word of warning that was declared yesterday in defense of this nation and its people.

   • The God of Heaven, He will bless us, and we, His servants, will arise and build. But you have no portion or right or memorial in Jerusalem.

     Nehemiah 2:20

   • Put the fear of Israel's response - and of Israel's God - into the hearts of the leaders of Hizbullah (2 Chronicles 20:29).

   • Wake up the people of Lebanon to the very real threat that Hizbullah is to their safety.

   • Give the IDF much diligence in all areas of its preparations.

   • Wake up Israelis living in the North so that they too can prepare for the day of war.

   • Provide Israel with the intelligence it requires to make the right decisions.

   • Reveal to Israel if there is any transference of WMD from Syria to Hizbullah - and if there is, how to deal with this unacceptable situation.

   • Protect the true Church in Lebanon. Give our Lebanese brothers and sisters wisdom to know how to pray and what to do. The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and is safe. (Proverbs 18:10)

4. Egypt's new President Mursi was raised on the Muslim Brotherhood's radical Islamic ideology. Egypt has the largest Arab population and the most modern army - which the USA has both equipped and trained. We prayed for Israel to know what to do in the face of what could very easily become a dangerous situation on her southern flank.

   • Give the IDF wisdom to know how to prepare for a possible conflict/war with Egypt - yet enable them to do it below the radar.

   • If there is a war, watch over this word: The land of Judah shall be a terror to Egypt; everyone who mentions it shall be afraid toward it, because of the purpose of the LORD of Hosts, which He has purposed against it. (Isaiah 19:17)

   • Maintain the current lack of real unity in Egypt between the government and the military.

   • Increase the ideological conflict between Sunni Egypt and Shiite Iran.

   • Egypt's economy is on life-support. Lord, miraculously provide for Egyptians their daily bread and let them know that it is You increasing the loaves and fish again (John 6:11).

   • We thank You for the work of salvation that You are doing in Egypt.

   • Continue to save multitudes of our enemies and turn them into our family.

   • Bring many nominal Christians into a living faith with Your Son.

   • Protect the true Church and give them open doors to testify that Yeshua is Lord (Acts 10:36; Revelation 12:11).

5. The Kingdom of Jordan is also facing a rising Muslim Brotherhood movement. King Abdullah needs to have much wisdom to navigate these very dangerous rapids.

   • Lord, give Jordan's king the wisdom he needs to maintain peace both inside his kingdom and with Israel.

   • Enable him to withstand the pressure from the huge Palestinian community residing in his nation.

   • Give Jordan wisdom concerning the tens of thousands of Syrian refugees that are fleeing into it for safety.

   • Enable them to discern the real refugee from the hidden terrorist.

   • Quicken the IDF's alertness along the Jordanian border - the longest border of Israel.

6. We continue to stand our watch concerning the ever-increasing Iranian threat.

   • Abba, we know that You are restoring Israel for good and not to be destroyed. For thus says the LORD: As I have brought all this great evil on this people, so I will bring on them all the good that I have promised them. (Jeremiah 32:42)

   • Yet, Iran continues to threaten Israel with destruction and moves towards building weapons that could achieve that purpose. Therefore, arise, Lord and scatter Your enemies (Psalm 68:1).

   • Keep not silence, O God; do not be speechless, and be not still, O God. For behold, Your enemies roar; and those who hate You have lifted up their head. They take shrewd counsel against Your people, and plot against Your hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, so that the name Israel may be remembered no more. For with one heart they have plotted together; they have made a covenant against You.

     Psalms 83:1-5

   • How long, God, will You allow this spirit of Persia to blaspheme Your name?

   • Shake the ground under Iran - literally - and swallow up all of their nuclear facilities.

   • Shatter the relationship between Iran, Russia and China.

   • Send panic upon the Iranian leaders so that they make major geopolitical mistakes.

   • If You will use Israel to deal with this threat, then give to her leaders the wisdom and courage to know what to do and when to do it.

   • Prepare Israel - and all her Christian Zionist allies - for the day after the attack.

7. Hillary Clinton is planning to come to Israel. This can be very dangerous.

   • Remove her sheepskin and reveal her real agenda for coming here.

   • Do not allow Israel's leaders to be manipulated one iota by her.

   • Do not allow this visit to restart the almost-dead 'peace' process with the Palestinians.

   • Protect the Israeli people from anything that is not of You while she is here.

   • Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What has God wrought!

     Numbers 23:23

8. We also prayed for the leaders of all of Israel's believing communities to be protected from all seducing spirits - especially from the 'prosperity gospel'. There are other seductions to be aware of as well - pride, power, peace that is not God's peace and unity that is not of the Spirit. These are just some of the ones that come immediately to mind. We in Intercessors For Israel need your prayers to avoid these traps as well.
