1. As we started our time before the Lord, we read from James 1:1-8.

    • My brothers, count it all joy when you fall into different kinds of temptations, knowing that the trying of your faith works patience. But let patience have its perfect work, so that you may be perfect and mature, lacking nothing. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and with no reproach, and it shall be given to him. But let him ask in faith, doubting nothing. For he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed. For do not let that man think that he shall receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, not dependable in all his ways.

      James 1:1-8

    • We bless You for inviting us to ask for wisdom and know that You stand ready to give it abundantly.

    • Thank You for making a way into Your throne room by the blood of Messiah Yeshua, our High Priest.

    • We rest in the truth that You are the Aleph and the Tav, the Alpha and the Omega, knowing the end from the beginning. Amen.

    • We are awed that You have brought us into Your Kingdom - for just a time like this.

    • Hodu l'Adonai ki tov; ki lolam chasdo - Give thanks to the LORD for He is good, for His lovingkindness endures forever (Psalm 107:1; 118:1; 136:1).

  2. We are entering the feast of Tabernacles [Sunday sunset], so it is a time to pray for rain for Israel.

    • Abba, we thank You for the excellent rainy season Israel had last year.

    • We are asking for another one - one that even exceeds our expectations (Ephesian 3:20).

    • Ask rain from YHWH in the time of the latter rain. YHWH shall make storm clouds, and He gives them showers of rain, grass to everyone in the field.

      Zechariah 10:1

    • Lord, You said in Ezekiel 36:35 that this land would be like the Garden of Eden. We believe You - and ask for all the water that is needed to make that word come to pass.

    • Let the rain fall in the right places, so that the Sea of Galilee and Israel's underground aquifers are filled.

    • Open the heavens and give Your land a soaking, consistent rain.

    • We bless You for enabling Israel to be at the cutting edge of desalination technology. We see this as one more way in which this nation is able to be a blessing to the world and thank You for it. I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, and you shall be a blessing. (Genesis 12:2)

  3. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at the UN yesterday. He focused on the miracle of modern day Israel and the global danger of the terrorist regime in Iran getting its hands on a nuclear weapon. We prayed for his very clear warning to wake up multitudes throughout the world.

    • We bless You for raising up Bibi Netanyahu to lead Your nation at this time.

    • Thank You for give Netanyahu courage to speak truth (Proverbs 8:7).

    • Continue to anoint him whenever he speaks.

    • Protect him from all of the negative feedback and criticism that will be thrown on him - especially from the left and the media here in Israel.

    • Move Bibi closer to those people whom You want to have more of an input into his life, and move him away from those whose input would be detrimental to You current counsel for Israel.

    • If he does not already have a revelation of Messiah Yeshua, give that to him.

    • Let Your hand be on the Man of Your right hand, on the Son of man whom You have made strong for Yourself.

      Psalms 80:17

    • Lord, open up ears throughout the world to hear yesterday's warning from Jerusalem.

    • Especially for Western leaders, have mercy and unclog their thinking on this issue of whether Iran is developing weapons of mass destruction and press them to take responsibility to stop it.

    • YHWH shall also roar out of Zion and utter His voice from Jerusalem.

  4. We next prayed for Israel's decision makers to be like the sons of Issachar as in 1 Chronicles 12:32.

    • From the sons of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, the heads of them were two hundred. And all their brothers were at their command.

      1 Chronicles 12:32

    • Abba, have mercy on this nation that You have brought back from exile and raise up leaders like this - now!

    • Lord, You have made promises to raise up godly leaders when the Jews returned from exile. We ask for You to fulfill those promises at this time. (Isaiah 1:26; Jeremiah 23:3-4; Ezekiel 34:22-25).

    • Open up the eyes of Israel's leaders to the real dangers from both outside the borders as well and from within,

    • And their rulers shall be of themselves, and their governor shall come from among them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach Me. For who is this who pledged his heart to come near to Me? says YHWH.

      Jeremiah 30:21

    • Cause Israel's leaders to ask for wisdom from on high (James 1:5).

    • Impress upon them to cry out to You, for You have declared, call on Me in the day of trouble; and I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me. (Psalms 50:15)

    • May all of the leaders in the IDF, to have insight of how to prepare the army for the days ahead.

    • Make Defense Minister Ehud Barak a blessing in this government - or remove him.

    • Give much wisdom and discernment to Bank of Israel President Stanley Fischer to be able to steer Israel's economy through the current global shakings.

  5. During the feasts, the IDF allows more soldiers than normal to go home to be with their families. Thus there are less soldiers actively guarding over this nation.

    • Lord, send Your supernatural protection over this nation, especially for the next few weeks.

    • Hear the Word of YHWH, O gentiles [i.e., Christians], and declare it in the coastlands afar off, saying, He who scattered Israel will gather him and keep him, as a shepherd keeps his flock.

      Jeremiah 31:10

    • Yeshua, please keep those soldiers who remain on duty sharp and alert to any and all dangers.

    • Reveal all of the dark plans of the enemy and bring them to the light.

    • Hinder all kidnapping attempts. YHWH shall keep you from all evil; He shall keep your soul. YHWH shall keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore. (Psalms 121:7-8)

    • Encourage all those in the IDF who are discouraged.

    • Cut off all false tongues that hinder the IDF from being ready to defend Israel (Psalm 120:2-4).

    • We proclaimed God's promise to the nation of Israel, that as the men went up to worship Him on Succot, He would defend Israel's borders: Three times in the year [Passover, Shavuot/Pentecost,Succot/ Tabernacles] your men shall appear before the Lord YHWH, the God of Israel. For I will cast out the nations before you and enlarge your borders. Neither shall any man desire your land when you shall go up to appear before YHWH your God three times in the year. (Exodus 34:23-24)

  6. The Lord has not released us from interceding against the threat of an Iranian nuclear weapon. Since Iranian officials never miss an opportunity to declare that the 'Zionist entity' will be destroyed, we see why God continues to burden us with this.

    • Lord, show us how to pray even more specifically into this issue.

    • Whatever it takes, we are asking You to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

    • So says YHWH of Hosts: Behold, I will break the bow of Elam [ancient Persia - where Iran is located today], the chief of their might. And I will bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven on Elam, and will scatter them toward all these winds. There shall be no nation where the outcasts of Elam shall not come. For I will cause Elam to be afraid before their enemies and before those who seek their life. I will bring evil on them, even My fierce anger, says YHWH, and I will send the sword after them until I have destroyed them. And I will set My throne in Elam, and will destroy the king and the rulers from there, says YHWH.

      Jeremiah 49:35-38

    • As You did with Sennacherib, send the Angel of the LORD to fight for Israel and defend this nation - for Your holy name's sake (Isaiah 37:36).

    • Force Iran's leaders to make major mistakes and errors of political judgments.

    • Wake up the nations to see that sanctions are not working. They hurt the Iranian people - while the evil regime continues to use its money to finance both terror and the building of the bomb.

    • Give the IDF divine counsel as to what to do and when to do it.

    • Lord of Hosts, as You promised, go out with the IDF to battle: For I have bent Judah for Me as a bow; I filled it with Ephraim, and I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece, and make you as the sword of a mighty man. And YHWH shall be seen over them, and His arrow shall go forth like the lightning; and the Lord YHWH shall blow the ram's horn, and shall go out with the windstorms of the south. YHWH of Hosts shall defend them; they shall devour and trample the slingstones. They shall drink and be boisterous, as through wine…And YHWH their God shall save them in that day as the flock of His people; for they are as stones of a crown, lifted up as a banner over His land. (Zechariah 9:13-16)

    • Bless the IDF's pilots who may be asked to risk their lives to protect this nation.

    • Encourage and comfort their families as well.

    • Reveal Messiah Yeshua to the pilots and their families.

  7. a. We wondered if there was a key that we were missing in praying for Iran and so we waited in silence on God to see if He would reveal it to us. One thing that was confirmed by several people was that Iranian believers are an essential factor in this whole dangerous situation.

    • I will set My throne in Elam…

      Jeremiah 49:38a

    • Lord Yeshua, we thank You for doing this as thousands of Iranians are coming to know You in these days.

    • Open their eyes to see that their nation is under Your curse because its leaders continually curse Your people (Genesis 12:3; 27:29; Numbers 24:9).

    • Impart to our Iranian brothers and sisters wisdom on how to pray at this critical time.

    • Abba, please deal with the Iranian leadership so that the Iranian Church would not have to go through an Israeli attack on their nation.

  8. b. We also sensed a gentile rebuke from God for not believing Him when He said that He would put a hook in their nose and drag Iran's leaders into the trap of His making.

    • Lord, forgive us for being of little faith in situations like these - when we would love to see the answers to prayers yesterday, and yet Your timing is not until tomorrow!

    • We read Isaiah 37:21-35 to remind ourselves of what He has done and will do. Here are some selected verses: So says YHWH, the God of Israel, Because you have prayed to Me against [the Iranian leadership] this is the word which YHWH has spoken concerning [them]…Whom have you mocked and blasphemed? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted up your eyes on high? Even against the Holy One of Israel. By your servants you have mocked YHWH…Because of your rage against Me, and your arrogance which has come up into My ears…I will put My hook in your nose, and My bridle in your lips, and I will turn you back by the way which you came…For I will defend this city to save it, for My own sake and for My servant David's sake.

  9. We also prayed for American believers to be led by God on whom to vote for in the next US Presidential elections. The results of that election will have global impact, and it is not a time for believers to stay at home.

    • Yeshua, let Your sheep hear Your voice (John 10:27)

    • May Your followers vote - and vote for the candidates that You want to lead America at this time.

    • Let them ask You for wisdom and expect to receive it (James 1:5-8).

    • Abba, have mercy on America.

    • Lord Yeshua, reveal Yourself to Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, and pull them away from following 'another Jesus and another gospel' (2 Corinthians 11:4)!
