1. Psalm 107:1-9

    Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. (Psalm 107:1) We give thanks to You, Lord:

    • that You neither slumber nor sleep. (Psalm 121:4)

    • for Your faithfulness which we see again this morning with a sprinkling of refreshing rain.

    • that You are our Redeemer.

    • that You are the great provider.

    • that You fulfill all Your promises.

    • The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness.

  2. P5+1 - Iran negotiations

    There are rumors circulating that the negotiations between Iran and the leading world powers are close to a deal. The deal is likely to involve an agreement that Iran continue limited enrichment of uranium, with a reduction in sanctions being imposed upon Iran by the world. This would enable Iran to continue to move towards the position where in a very short time it could still create a nuclear weapon. Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defence Minister Yaalon have declared that such a deal would be unacceptable. Pray:

    • that God would overturn the tables in these negotiations and cause any approach toward such an agreement to fall apart.

    • Harden the hearts of the Iranians so they would demand too much, fall out among themselves, make mistakes.

    • Bring the counsel of the nations to nothing. (Psalm 33:10)

    • Bring division among the negotiators. Break down the communications between them.

    • Destroy the plans of the Evil One.

  3. Israel's response

    If the world powers are caving in to Iran, Israel is being pushed into a corner and she will need to respond. Pray for Israel's leaders:

    • Remind the leaders that a strong Israel will be respected.

    • Give our leaders strength, wisdom and boldness. Make them as sons of Issachar who have understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do. (1 Chronicles 12:32)

    • Pray for Prime Minister Netanyahu, Defence Minister Yaalon and Chief of Staff Gantz for good communication, for unity, that there would be no competing egos between them.

    • Use them as Your mighty men to defend Israel.

    • Avigdor Lieberman has been acquitted from his corruption trial and is now back in the leadership picture. Lord use him to speak truth with directness and clarity.

    • Jeremiah 51:19-27. Use Israel as Your battle-axe. Destroy Your enemies. Crush those who seek to destroy Israel!

  4. "Peace process"

    US Secretary of State John Kerry is in the midst of another round of talks and pressure toward the Two State Solution. Statements are abounding regarding the illegality of settlements, the possibility of a third intifada, etc. Pray:

    • Close John Kerry's mouth and make him ineffective. Break the power of American manipulation of Israel.

    • Harden the hearts of the Palestinians that You may be glorified.

    • Harden the hearts of Palestinian President Abbas and Chief Negotiator Erekat so that they may not be willing to moderate their demands, might increase their demands, might be in disagreement one with another. Make obvious their true intention to destroy Israel.

    • May Israelis, and even our chief negotiator Tzipi Livni, recognize what their true intentions are.

    • Give resolve to Israel's leaders in their commitment to keeping the nation of Israel and especially the city of Jerusalem intact.

    • Joel 3:1-2 tells of the consequences of dividing up God's land. But many believers are saying that the peace process is a good thing and are encouraging people to pray for it, although it is contrary to the word of God. May the Lord push back this humanistic trend in the Church.

    • Make Benyamin Netanyahu strong on Your word, Lord, and give him resolve to stand with You.

  5. A "sacrificial lamb"

    It is as though the Americans want to use Israel like a sacrificial lamb as they attempt to find ways to solve crises in Iran, in Syria, in Egypt. Whether this is their intention or not, it won't work. Crippling Israel won't solve anything in the nations round about. We prayed that the only true sacrificial lamb, Yeshua would exercise His power and authority in this region.

    • Revelation 5:11-13

    • Worthy, worthy, worthy is the Lamb.

    • Yeshua, King of the Jews, Your direct and divine intervention would destroy all these ungodly negotiations (with Iran and with the Palestinians). You have the right to reign on this earth and have Your way!

    • And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.

    • Isaiah 41:8-10

    • Lord, come and show Your people that You have all authority and power and that You have chosen Israel.

  6. Messianic Jewish Bible Institute

    The MJBI has invited former US President George W. Bush to be the keynote speaker at an event next week. This has created controversy and pressure from the Jewish community that he would withdraw from this engagement. Pray:

    • that George Bush would hold fast to his commitment to speak and take the opportunity to make a public stand for You.

    • May he speak biblically with conviction and authority, not holding back on anything that You want him to say.

    • Speak through him, Lord and make Yourself heard!

    • May many who hear him, Jew and Gentile, be convicted by the word of God.

  7. Rain - physical and spiritual

    • We thanked the Lord for the sprinkling of rain we experienced in Jerusalem this morning.

    • Thanks for the abundance of rain You have given Israel over the past year.

    • Send more, Lord. More today and much more this winter! Fill the aquifers and the Sea of Galilee. Give an abundance of water for the people of Israel!

    • May Your people acknowledge that You and You alone are the giver of water!

    • Let the physical rain be a foreshadowing of the spiritual rain You will pour upon Your people.

    • Pour living water upon Your people! (John 7:37-39)

    • Joel 2:21-29 - thank You that after the physical rain You do pour out Your Spirit.

    • Reveal Yourself for who You truly are to Your stubborn, proud people.

    • Pour out Your Spirit upon Israelis - young and old, men and women, soldiers, leaders, Arabs and Jews, on the sick, on the dying!

  8. Salvation of Israel

    The Spirit comes to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. Also to bring revelation of who Yeshua is. (John 16:7-16)

    And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.

    Zechariah 12:10

    • Bring revelation to Your people.

    • Thank You that all Israel will be saved. (Romans 11:26)

    • Pray for different groups in the population: eg Holocaust survivors, single parents, Ethiopians, soldiers, youth, etc. Reveal unto them the joy of Your salvation! (Psalm 51:12)

    • Save Your people the remnant of Israel. (Jeremiah 31:7)

    • May this national salvation come soon!

  9. Deception in the Church

    There are so many signs worldwide of God's people going after deceptive teachings motivated by humanism, compromise, political correctness, etc. Pray:

    • Convict of sin those who are walking in humanism.

    • Lord, deliver Your body from deception and restore her to a love of the truth. (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12)

    • Help us to love Your truth and stand on Your word.

    • Thank You that You alone are our peace and You alone can bring peace. (Ephesians 2:14-17)

    • Let God arise and let His enemies be scattered!
