1. We began by focusing on our great God.

    • Unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

      1 Timothy 1:17

    • And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among nations, believed on in the world, and received up into glory.

      1 Timothy 3:16

    • Lord Yeshua, we declare that You are enthroned at the right hand of the Father (Psalm 110:1).

    • We rest in You, glory in You and thank You (1 Corinthians 1:30-31).

    • You, the only wise God, use even Your 'foolishness' to confound man's wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:25)!

    • We bless You for using us - weak and foolish vessels - for Your glory (1 Corinthians 1:27-29).


      This has been a week when we seem to have seen a number of our prayers answered. As we usually intercede into major issues - like the peace process and Israel's salvation - we are not expecting quick answers. Yet at times when God does answer, He does it 'suddenly' and He answers more than one request in a short space of time. Here is what we have seen and how we are continuing to pray.

  2. The final group of Palestinian terrorists was to be released by Israel last Saturday evening, yet as of now, it has been cancelled completely. Palestinian President Abbas reacted by signing papers to join 15 different UN and international groups, thus breaking his word to refrain from this during US Secretary of State Kerry's current attempt at 'peace-making'. Even Israel's left-leaning Justice Minister Tzipi Livni, head of Israel's negotiating team, was not in favor of releasing the terrorists and openly said that Abbas broke the agreement (Psalm 55:20). By the way, for her to see this is, in itself, an answer to prayer.

    • Lord, thank You for bringing this 'peace' process to a halt.

    • We plead with You to kill any 'land-for-peace' negotiations once and for all. For they do not speak peace; but they devise deceitful things against the quiet in the land (Psalms 35:20).

    • They have also healed the hurt of the daughter of My people slightly, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.

      Jeremiah 6:14

    • Bless You for keeping this final group of terrorists in jail (Isaiah 48:22).

    • We praise You for hardening the Palestinian leaders hearts even more (Proverbs 21:1).

    • Anoint Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu and his government to be clear and concise in laying out Israel's case before the world, especially before a mostly antagonistic media.

  3. A new list of Palestinian Authority demands just to bring them back to the negotiating table is nothing short of extortion. We prayed for both Church and political leaders to do the right thing - and stand with Israel. Yes, this will require a miracle, but God…

    • Abba, thank You for pressing the Palestinians to overplay their hand. Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. (Proverbs 16:18)

    • Lord, cause many political leaders to speak out against these unrighteous demands.

    • God, use John Kerry himself to publically expose the extortion in this latest PA ploy (Psalm 55:21).

    • Help the US Congress to continue to maintain its strong pro-Israel stance and to pull all funding from any UN organization that includes the PLO.

    • Use Church leaders like John Hagee of Christians United for Israel to expose these demonic demands.

    • Enable more and more believers to see how this 'peace' process is an attack against their foundations - because the root of Israel's cultivated olive tree supports the Church (Romans 11:18; cp. 15:8)!

  4. We prayed for another miracle - a true unity in Israel's government in totally rejecting these unrighteous demands.

    • We thank You for the current Israeli government, recognizing that it is truly miraculous that they have remained together in this coalition for this long.

    • Use the PA's demands to bring the current coalition into a true unity of purpose (Psalm 133:1).

    • We thank You for Tzipi Livni's stance and statements of late. Use her to wake up the rest of the left-leaning partners in the government coalition to the wickedness of our 'peace-partner'.

    • Abba, we are asking for You to cause all of the Israeli Knesset [parliament] to say 'Enough!'

    • Lord, cause many Israelis to rally around the righteous stance of the government in not releasing the terrorists and in saying no to the latest list of extreme demands. Then all the sons of Israel went out, and the congregation was gathered together as one man… (Judges 20:1a)

  5. It could be very dangerous for Israel if the PA would join the International Criminal Court. This is actually being encouraged by Amnesty International. The PA would then join forces with the latest anti-Israel attack - known today as 'lawfare' - the discrediting of the nation as a whole.* They would also be able to bring before this court many Israeli army officers and politicians as 'war criminals'. We prayed for Israel to be prepared for when the Palestinians do join the ICC.

    • Lord, we thank You that neither Israel nor America have signed to be part of the ICC.

    • Please keep Israel out permanently (Numbers 23:9).

    • Abba, You are a God who desires righteous laws, yet this is not that which You desire. Therefore, please block all unrighteous decisions coming out from the ICC against Your land and people.

    • Arise, YHWH; let not man prevail. Let the nations be judged in Your sight. Put them in fear, YHWH. Let the nations know they are but men. Selah.

      Psalms 9:19-20

    • Raise up a team of anointed international lawyers - from Israel and from the nations - who will fight the fight in this lawfare arena with much skill and wisdom. Counsel and sound wisdom are Mine; I am understanding; I have strength. By Me kings reign and princes decree justice. (Proverbs 8:14-15)

    • May the PA again exaggerate any cases they try to bring against Israel. None calls for justice, nor does anyone plead for truth; they trust in vanity and speak lies. They conceive mischief and bring out iniquity. (Isaiah 59:4)

  6. We prayed for Israel to be prepared for the 'day-after' the 'peace process' actually dies and is buried, and this reality sinks into Palestinian society, as well as the surrounding nations.

    • Lord, Israel is going to need to be on super-high alert security-wise.

    • We will need Your help and guidance (Psalm 121:4; Jeremiah 31:10).

    • Abba, make PM Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ya'alon and IDF Chief of Staff Gantz, a three-fold cord.

    • Enable there to be very clear communication between them and from them to both commanders and soldiers and security personnel in the field.

    • Help Israeli security planners to prepare for all sorts of scenarios.

    • We thank You that nothing takes You by surprise. Therefore impart great wisdom to our leaders.

    • In that day I will make the governors [allufim - 'generals' in modern Hebrew] of Judah like a hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire among cut grain. And they shall devour all the peoples all around, on the right hand and on the left hand. And Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her place, in Jerusalem.

      Zechariah 12:6

    • Cause all those who are planning to wreak havoc on Israelis to fall into their own net (Psalm 9:15; 35:8).

    • Continue to confound all those who hate Zion (Psalm 35:4, 26; 83:16-18; 129:5).

  7. Iran is still a hot issue for us here at Intercessors for Israel. We continue to ask the Lord to deal sovereignly with this huge threat of a Shiite Islamic nuclear weapon, or if Israel is to deal with it militarily, that the Lord would be in absolute control of the timing and the methods used. Thanks for your persistence in prayer with us over these many years.

  8. We thanked God for answering our prayers concerning former Israeli Prime Minister Olmert, that if he was indeed guilty, it would emerge and that is exactly what happened this past week.

    • We are so grateful that his political career is over.

    • When Olmert lands in jail, please reveal Messiah Yeshua to him and set him free.

    • May the fear of this conviction run wild in the Israeli political scene and cleanse it from all corruption.

    • And I will restore your judges as at first, and your counselors as at the beginning; afterwards you shall be called the city of righteousness, the faithful city.

      Isaiah 1:26

  9. Aliyah - the immigration of Jews in exile home to Israel - was the next prayer topic. We concentrated on the situation in the north, specifically in the Ukraine, where there are around 200,000 Jews who need to get out. The Jewish Agency and some Christian organizations are working together to facilitate this.

    • We thank You for the cooperation between the Jewish Agency and our brothers and sisters in Christ.

    • Thus says the Lord YHWH, Behold, I will lift up My hand to the gentiles, and set up My banner to the people. They shall bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.

      Isaiah 49:22

    • Lord, we are approaching Passover, when You first set Your people free from Egypt and brought them home to the land of promise. Please do it again with the Jews in the Ukraine.

    • May the many Ukrainian Jews already settled in Israel open wide their arms for their fellow-countrymen and do whatever it takes to aid in their transition from exile to home.

    • Lord Yeshua, there are many Messianic Jews in the Ukraine. Some have been taught that they do not need to return to Israel. Shake up their theology and bring Your redeemed back home (Isaiah 51:11).

    • We are grateful that aliyah is up from France. Continue to drain the French Jewish community of its people and settle them in Your land.

    • We know that it is You who release the hunters (Jeremiah 16:16), yet we ask that You would have as much mercy as possible and still use the fishers to bring Your people back.

    • Lord, please clear out all the stones of stumbling in Israel that interfere with the return of all of Your people (Isaiah 62:10).

    • Infuse Israel's Interior Ministry, responsible with determining who is a Jew and granting citizenship, with a new Zionistic vision.

  10. We finished by praying for Israel's salvation over the Passover season which starts on Monday eve, 14th of April. That is also when the first of four red moons will appear somewhere over the earth - which each one occurring on a biblical feast day. What do they indicate? We will be able to answer that better after the last one occurs in the fall of 2015. Still, it is a definite time to watch and pray and we thank you for standing with us - for God's holy name's sake (Psalm 115:1-3).

*As we see it, the world is furious at the rebirth of the nation of Israel because it is an open witness that God's Word really is, well, God's Word! That means there is a God, which implies that man will have to answer to Him for what he does and does not do. Destroy Israel, wipe out all Jews, and God's Word is proven a lie. Man then can eat, drink and be merry because tomorrow we die - without having to appear before God's judgment seat. Kind of like the days of Noah. And that is exactly what Yeshua said would be happening just before His return.
