A Psalm of David.
I will praise You with my whole heart;
Before the gods I will sing praises to You.
I will worship toward Your holy temple,
And praise Your name
For Your lovingkindness and Your truth;
For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.
In the day when I cried out, You answered me,
And made me bold with strength in my soul.
All the kings of the earth shall praise You, O Lord,
When they hear the words of Your mouth.
Yes, they shall sing of the ways of the Lord,
For great is the glory of the Lord.
Though the Lord is on high,
Yet He regards the lowly;
But the proud He knows from afar.
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me;
You will stretch out Your hand
Against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand will save me.
The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;
Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.
Psalm 138-
Thank You that we can lift our eyes to the hills and know our help comes from You. (Psalm 121:1)
-
You are the same yesterday, today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)
-
You are faithful to save.
-
You are the way the truth and the life. (John 14:6)
-
You are a covenant-keeping God (Deuteronomy 7:9)
-
But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head.
Psalm 3:3 -
For the Lord has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling place:
Psalm 132:13-14This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it.

Jerusalem
As this psalm (132) states, the Lord has chosen Jerusalem as His dwelling place. In recent days this city has been going through a very difficult time. A new form of terror has emerged as local residents have been diverting their vehicles into crowds of people waiting at stations on the light railway line, intent upon their own deaths while causing the deaths of as many other people as possible. The light rail is used by tens of thousands of people and this new terror strategy causes great fear to multitudes who are simply standing waiting for a train. New concrete blocks have been placed on many platforms to reduce the risks. Pray:
-
Thank You that Jerusalem is Your city.
…Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen for Myself, to put My name there.
(1 Kings 11:36) -
Give wisdom and alertness to the security services in the face of these attacks from among the people. Give them discernment and accurate information to know where the attacks are coming from and know how to deploy their forces.
-
Give excellent cooperation and communication and coordination between the various security forces - police, border police, Shabak, etc.
-
Give alertness to the general public. Cause people to act out of responsibility rather than out of fear.
-
May Israel close her ears to all the criticism of the world when it comes to preserving the security of all her people - Jews and Arabs and others.
-
Raise up the intercessors called to pray for the city. Show us Your will and how You want us to pray it into being.

Temple Mount
Earlier in the week police responded to rioting on the Temple Mount by entering the Al-Aqsa mosque and discovered inside stores of rocks, fireworks and Molotov cocktails, weapons of war, clearly exposing plans to confront the security forces. When Israel took the Temple Mount in the Six Day War of 1967 she made the grave mistake of handing authority back to the Waqf - the Islamic authorities. As a result, only Moslems are allowed to pray there. Yet this is the place of which God said,
For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.
(2 Chronicles 7:16) Pray:-
Lord, give divine strength and wisdom to the security forces in the face of violence on the Temple Mount, especially on this "mosque day" (Friday).
-
Please quench the fire raging in the hearts of the moslems on the Temple Mount today.
-
We confess it is an abomination that Your people may not pray to You in the place You have chosen. Cleanse this abomination, Lord. Show Yourself mighty and holy.

Salvation of the people of the land
-
But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
2 Corinthians 3:14-16 -
Remove the veil from the eyes of the people of Israel. Reveal Yourself, o Lord!
-
Speak directly to the Jewish people from Your word. Let the truth of Your word no longer be kept hidden by the deception of man's words.
-
All Israel will be saved
. (Romans 11:26) It is happening even now as a foretaste of what will happen. Multiply it Lord! -
Reveal Yourself, Lord, at the Shabbat dinner table today!

Government of Israel
There is a coalition government in Israel whose members are supposed to exercise some collective responsibility. However, decisions are made but the different parties and particularly the party leaders continue to do and say their own thing, criticizing the Prime Minister, weakening the government and strengthening our enemies.
-
Give wisdom to Binyamin Netanyahu in handling his government. May he know whether and when to call new elections or how to bring his "colleagues" into line.
-
Bless God in the congregations, the Lord, from the fountain of Israel. There is little Benjamin, their leader, the princes of Judah and their company, the princes of Zebulun and the princes of Naphtali. Your God has commanded your strength.
(Psalm 68:26-28) Command the strength of Prime Minister Netanyahu, o Lord! -
Bring Binyamin Netanyahu, Yair Lapid, Avigdor Liberman, Tzippi Livni, Naftali Bennett all into line with Your plans for this nation for this time.
-
Raise up people within the coalition parties who would be willing to speak to their leaders and call them back into line.

Iran
November 24th is the deadline in the P5+1 - Iran negotiations to find agreement on Iran's nuclear program. It continues to appear that the P5+1 nations and especially US President Obama are looking for an agreement at any price. It looks as though the agreement reached will not deal with the threat of an Iranian nuclear weapon. Only Israel's leaders seem to understand and say that no agreement is better than a bad agreement. It seems that the world has forgotten how they felt about Iran before they were distracted by the threat of ISIS.
-
Lord, open the eyes of the world which have become blinded to the threat of an Iranian nuclear weapon.
-
Turn over the tables! (Matthew 21:12) Bring disunity between the P5+1 negotiators so they are unable to reach a bad agreement.
-
Open the eyes of the world to the consequences of a bad agreement and the lasting impact of an Iranian Shi'ite nuclear weapon.
-
Break the bow of Elam (Iran)! (Jeremiah 49:35)

American Congressional Elections
In this week's elections in the USA the Republican Party won control of both houses of Congress. In some areas of government this could act as a constraint upon the powers of (Democrat) President Obama. Congress largely controls the allocation of money. However, the President is largely unconstrained with regard to Foreign Policy. Obama clearly does not like Israel, preferring a better relationship with Iran, so we need to pray for God to prevent him from doing more harm to Israel.
-
Lord hedge Obama in so that he can not do harm to Israel. (Lamentations 3:7)
-
Make the new Congress an instrument of blessing to Israel. (Genesis 12:3)
-
While Obama seems to be saying "I'll do what I want", humble him, Lord! (Luke 14:11)
-
Strengthen Israel to do what she needs to do rather than allowing herself to be bullied by the USA.

International Prayer Conference Jerusalem 2015
IFI's annual prayer conference is getting near. The dates are 19th - 26th January. Pray:
-
Lord bring everyone to the conference whom You are calling to be there and ensure that all You have not called are in the places You want them to be.
-
Raise up more young intercessors to participate.
-
Call more Israeli intercessors to participate alongside those from the nations.
-
Give wisdom to the leadership regarding the focus for prayer and the messages You want them to speak.
-
But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head.
Psalm 3:3
Shabbat Shalom!
