1. We used verses out of this Shabbat's prophetic portion to start our time.

    • Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of YHWH has risen on you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples; but YHWH shall rise on you, and His glory shall be seen on you.

      Isaiah 60:1-2

    • We bless You for the mostly positive change in Israelis towards Yeshua.

    • We are so grateful that You are always faithful to Your purposes in our lives (2 Timothy 2:13).

    • Thank You for Your Word - Your guide for us as a light in the world's darkness (Psalm 119:103).

    • You are a covenant making and a covenant keeping God!

    • What a joy to see both Jew and gentile as one praying together this morning here in Jerusalem.

    • We bless You for choosing us and this nation - for Your name's sake (John 15:16; Deuteronomy 7:6-9).

  2. Reports from Washington say that US President Obama now has enough politicians to vote for this wicked Iranian nuclear deal, that it will pass regardless of any initial rejection by Congress. So while most Americans and most of the US Congress are against this deal - still Obama will have his way with a minority of people more concerned to toe the party line than vote their conscience. This is really bad news - for America.

    • Lord, You can still stir up the conscience of those who said 'yes', to change their minds. The good gets grace from YHWH, but He will condemn a man of wicked thoughts. (Proverbs 12:2)

    • Have mercy. Wake up the American Church to what this agreement with hell means (Isaiah 28:15, 18).

    • Raise up many American believers to stand in the gap for their land (Ezekiel 22:30-31).

    • Cause many Americans to contact their senators and representatives and demand a 'no' vote.

    • May politicians who have taken a stand against this deal be blessed and become even more influential.

    • Use the meeting today between Obama and Saudi Arabia's King to confront Obama and all his 'yes' men with the truth.

    • Lord, let the White House know that on this Iranian deal, both Israel and Saudi Arabia are in agreement.

  3. As there is no way in the natural in which this P5+1 nuclear deal with Iran will be stopped, we prayed for Israel to know how to respond. Even this past week, talk of annihilating Israel has poured forth from some of Iran's most powerful leaders.

    • Now also many nations are gathered against you, who say, Let her be defiled, and let our eyes look on Zion. But they do not know the plans of YHWH, nor do they understand His counsel, for He has gathered them like the sheaf to the floor. Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion; for I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hoofs bronze; and you shall crush many peoples. And I will give their gain to YHWH, and their wealth to the Lord of the all the earth.

      Micah 4:11-13

    • We trust You Lord to protect this people whom You have gathered in these days (Jeremiah 31:10).

    • Abba, thank You for Prime Minster Bibi Netanyahu. Grace him with all he needs to be the leader whom You have raised up for Israel at this time (Psalm 80:17).

    • We ask for all of Israel's responsible leaders - courage, strength, wisdom, blessing and divine guidance.

    • There are many purposes in a man's heart, but the counsel of YHWH shall stand.

      Proverbs 19:21

    • Lord, especially impart to the IDF Chief of Staff Eisenkot the ability to sift through all of the various implications of this Iranian deal and come up with inspired plans to protect this nation (Proverbs 21:1).

    • Bring a real sense of unity to the security cabinet as they consider Israel's next move (Psalm 133:1).

    • If Israel needs to deal with Iran militarily, please let it be at Your direction and in Your timing.

    • If Your people go out to war against their enemies by the way that You shall send them, and if they pray to You toward this city which You have chosen, and the house which I have built for Your name, then hear from Heaven their prayer and their cry and maintain their cause.

      2 Chronicles 6:34-35

    • Thank You for the oasis of peace that has prevailed in this nation - despite the various terror and rocket attacks, but if that is about to change, prepare the people for whatever the future holds.

  4. We next focused our prayers for Israel's internal security.

    • Lord, we thank You for Gilad Erdan, the Public Security Minister, who has forbidden the demonically inspired shrieking Muslim woman and children from being on the Temple Mount during times when Jews and tourists are allowed to be there.

    • We also bless You for answering our pleas against the new humanistic 'rules of engagement' placed on our security forces. Replace them with more biblically based and realistic rules.

    • Allow the security forces to have insight into knowing who the instigators of the riots and terror attacks are, and be able to capture or eliminate them (Isaiah 54:17).

    • Lord, Jerusalem is Your city, the city of the great King (Psalm 48:2; 87:3; Matthew 5:35). We ask for You to protect all of it, especially the Old City, the Temple Mount and the Mount of Olives.

    • For I will defend this city to save it, for My own sake and for My servant David's sake.

      Isaiah 37:35

    • God, place Your chosen man to be the new police commissioner (Psalm 75:6-7).

  5. Welcome to September 2015. There are numerous events that are quickly coming upon us that might - or might not - have prophetic implications. All we are sure of is that this is a season to watch and pray. We prayed for the Church worldwide to do just that and to not be deceived by false prophetic messages.

    • Take heed, watch and pray, for you do not know when the time is…And what I say to you, I say to all. Watch.

      Mark 13:33, 37

    • Lord, You have our attention. Now guide us to focus on that which You want us to see.

    • Lord Yeshua, teach us to pray (Luke 11:1), in particular during this season when the prophetic-hype is becoming so overwhelmingly loud.

    • Pour out that spirit of discernment on Your Body and an understanding that we are to test the spirits before we accept something as coming from You (1 Thessalonians 5:19-21; 1 John 4:1).

    • Abba, during Your feasts this month (Leviticus 23:4 - Trumpets, Atonement, Tabernacles), may Your people set aside time to meet with You.

    • For Your holy name's sake, sanctify Your Body, here in Israel, and unto the ends of the earth.

    • Use the growing remnant who see the importance of Israel to leaven the rest of the Body (Luke 13:21).

  6. We then prayed for Israel during this coming month, as many of the things we are watching might affect Israel dramatically.

    • God, we praise You that Israel is being restored for Your holy name's sake (Ezekiel 36:23-24).

    • Therefore, arise and defend it - diplomatically, economically, and in the security realm (Psalm 121:4).

    • If it is Your will for Netanyahu to speak at the annual UN General Assembly meeting later this month, grant him an anointing that will confound all his adversaries.

    • Protect and guide him in all his meetings.

    • Allow him to use Your word as a sword to declare the truth of Israel's restoration. So shall My Word be, which goes out of My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall certainly do what I sent it to do. (Isaiah 55:11)

    • Bless Israel's new UN Ambassador, Danny Dannon, to be extremely effective in stating Israel's case.

    • Abba, if the UN decides to raise the flag of 'Palestine' with the rest of the flags of the nations, respond in a mighty way from on high. Do not allow this blasphemous action to go unhindered (Ezekiel 35:12-13).

    • YHWH brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He breaks the plans of the people. The counsel of YHWH stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations.

      Psalms 33:10-11

  7. This Shabbat's prophetic portion clearly says that gentile believers will aid in Israel's last days restoration, in particular by helping bring the Jews home.

    • Then you shall fear…and your heart shall throb and swell for joy; because the abundance of the sea shall turn to you, the wealth of the gentiles will come to you…they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall proclaim the praises of YHWH [obviously Christians]…Who are these who fly like a cloud, and as the doves to their windows? Surely the coastlands shall wait for Me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, to the name of YHWH your God [again, Christians], and to the Holy One of Israel, because He has glorified you.

      Isaiah 60:5-9

    • We bless You for a stirring in the hearts of Jews in Germany that Israel is where they need to be.

    • Thank You for the increase in German Jews coming back to Israel this year.

    • Thank You for that stirring in France and Ukraine as well.

    • Increase the desire in Jews throughout the exile to come home (Isaiah 43:5-7).

    • Over the feast season, make all Israelis who live outside of this land totally homesick (Psalm 137:5-6).

    • Wake up more American Jews to see that the Promised Land is not America.

    • Lord, it grieves us to hear that while many in Jews want to return, community leaders hinder them. Deal with these misguided leaders to not only encourage their people to return, but to lead them home!

    • We include Messianic Jews in this as well. May the redeemed of the Lord return (Isaiah 35:10; 51:11)

    • My sheep wandered through all the mountains and on every high hill. My flock was scattered on all the earth, and none searched nor sought for them…Thus says the Lord YHWH: Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will require My flock at their hand …For thus says the Lord YHWH: Behold, I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out.

      Ezekiel 34:6, 10-11

    • We thank You for all the Christian organizations that are helping to bring Your people home and by doing this have become a living fulfillment of so many prophetic words. Thus says the Lord YHWH, Behold, I will lift up My hand to the gentiles, and set up My banner to the people. They shall bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders. (Isaiah 49:22)

    • Abba, help simplify the immigration process here in the land.

    • We ask that all stones of stumbling from Your peoples' paths be removed (Isaiah 62:10).

    • As we see what is happening in Europe with the invasion of immigrants, we ask that You would protect Israel's borders and allow only those whom You have called to dwell in Your land.

    • Give Israel wisdom on how to deal mercifully with the African immigrants who are already here.

  8. We also prayed for the refugees in the surrounding nations, that the horrific situation in Syria, Iraq and the other Arab countries would cause many Muslims to reconsider if Allah truly is God. We are so blessed by the reports of many refugees who are coming to Messiah.

  9. We ended with a plea for Israel's salvation during this month of God's Feasts. Please pray for the Jews as specifically as possible - by name if you know some. If not, pray for specific groups, such as Holocaust survivors, IDF soldiers, the Iranian Jewish community, Israeli youth, doctors, lawyers, etc.

Again, we are so blessed and encouraged to know that we have so many of our brothers and sisters in the nations who are willing to watch and pray with us week after week.
