1. We started by reading a section from this Shabbat's prophetic portion.

    • Thus says YHWH God, He who created the heavens and…the earth…who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it. I YHWH have called You in righteousness. I will hold Your hand and keep You and give You for a covenant of the people, for a light to the gentiles; to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners…those who sit in darkness out of the prison house. I am YHWH; that is My name; and My glory I will not give to another…Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I declare; before they happen, I cause you to hear. Sing to YHWH a new song…

      Isaiah 42:5-10

    • We praise You, Creator of all, knowing that nothing is impossible for You (Jeremiah 32:17, 27).

    • Hallelujah! You are the Captain over the armies of heaven (Joshua 5:14; Revelation 19:11-16).

    • Who is this King of glory? YHWH strong and mighty, YHWH mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O gates; even lift up, O everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? YHWH of Hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah.

      Psalms 24:8-10

    • You never change, therefore we trust You to watch over Your word to do it (Isaiah 55:11).

    • We are so blessed to serve the Lamb of God, who was and is and is to come (Revelation 1:8).

    • Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee, how great Thou art…

  2. In line with 1 Timothy 2:1-4, we prayed for Israel's government to know how to respond to this spike in terrorism and riots that has hit the streets and roads of this nation - especially Jerusalem.

    • Creator of heaven and earth, please do the impossible and create out of this current government one that walks together in unity (Psalm 133:1).

    • Raise up Bibi Netanyahu to be all the prime minister that You have created him to be (Psalm 80:17).

    • Enable him to deal with the rebellion in his cabinet with Your wisdom and courage.

    • Tie up the tongues of all government ministers who speak solely for their own political gain.

    • Give to all our government ministers Your heart for this nation (Deuteronomy 7:6-9; Jeremiah 31:3).

    • Cause the opposition in the Knesset [parliament] to see the increase in terror attacks and lawlessness and be supportive of stronger security measures and less critical of Netanyahu.

    • Let the government pass measures which decrease the frustration among many Israelis who think that it is not doing enough to protect them.

    • Make our government godly in Your sight: Rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you desire to be not afraid of the authority? Do good, and you shall have praise from it. For it is a servant of God to you for good. For if you practice evil, be afraid, for it does not bear the sword in vain; for it is a servant of God, a revenger for wrath on him who does evil. (Romans 13:3-4)

  3. The flashpoint for the current increase in terror and lawlessness among both Palestinians and Israeli Arabs is the Temple Mount in Jerusalem's Old City.

    • In my trouble I cried to YHWH, and He heard me. Deliver my soul…from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue. What…shall be done to you, O false tongue? …My soul has long dwelt with him that hates peace. I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.

      Psalms 120:1-7

    • Jehovah said to [Solomon], I have heard your prayer and your cry which you have made before Me. I have made this house which you have built holy, to put My name there forever. And My eyes and My heart shall be there perpetually.

      1 Kings 9:3

    • Lord, this is Your holy hill of Zion. Arise and defend that which You have chosen for Your own sake.

    • We plead with You to protect Your land (Joel 3:2) and Your city (Psalm 48:1-2).

    • As You say in this week's prophetic portion, go forth as a man of war (Isaiah 42:13).

    • Lord, deal with the spiritual forces that are inciting people to murder Your people (Psalm 68:1).

    • Usually You defend this nation through its army, the IDF. Make them all that they need to be to deal with this very dangerous current situation (Isaiah 41:10-16; Jeremiah 51:20-23; Zechariah 12:2-9).

    • So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the Spirit came into them, and they lived and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army.

      Ezekiel 37:10

    • Lord, give our security forces much courage, wisdom and accuracy if they need to shoot.

    • Shine a huge spotlight on the ringleaders of these riots. For His eyes are on the ways of man. He sees all his steps. There is no darkness, nor shadow of death where workers of iniquity can hide themselves. (Job 34:21-22)

    • Help the government to back fully Israel's security forces.

    • Thank You for hearing our prayers and having the government change the rules of engagement.

    • Today, please send that hail You have reserved just for times like this (Job 38:22-23).

    • Protect innocent Jews, Arabs and others, from injury or distress.

  4. We prayed for God to protect His people from the spirit of fear that Satan is trying to import.

    • Lord, take advantage of this dangerous situation and replace the spirit of fear with hope and a revelation of Israel's true Messiah. Since then [God's] children have partaken of flesh and blood, He [Messiah Yeshua] also Himself likewise partook of the same; that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death (that is, the Devil), and deliver those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. (Hebrews 2:14-15)

    • As Israelis cry out to You, deliver them for Your glory (Psalm 50:15).

    • Lord, protect the Israeli Body of Messiah from receiving a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7).

    • Use Your Body to be a shining example of a people who really trusts in the God of Israel. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You; because he trusts in You. (Isaiah 26:3)

    • We see that Satan wants to scare the Jews to move out of their land. Do not allow his plans to succeed (Psalm 140:8).

    • Use the infamous stubbornness of the Jews for good and make them refuse to leave Israel (Psalm 137:5).

    • Impart to Israelis much patience and grace in their attitude towards the government and the IDF.

  5. The situation in Syria has become much more dangerous and confusing. Both Russian and Iranian troops are now stationed near Israel's border. Russia is bombing anyone who opposes Syrian President Assad, even striking the 'moderate' rebel groups whom the West is backing. While Russian President Putin is not an enemy of Israel today, still he is one of Iran's main backers - and they are Israel's main foe.

    • Give us revelation, wisdom and understanding on how to pray into this current situation (Amos 3:7).

    • Lord, as we pray for Your mercy on this nation - deal with the northern armies (Joel 2:17-21).

    • Give Israel revelation, wisdom and understanding on how to respond to these dangerous developments.

    • When Israeli intelligence services pass on information to responsible leaders, help those leaders to know what to do with it and if Israel needs to act - when and how (Proverbs 21:31).

    • Abba, help Israel hold to its red line and not allow the transfer of game changing weapons to Hizbullah.

    • Give Israel game changing weapons and help speed up the development of the weaponry or detections systems that they are working on now.

    • Use this aggressive Russian action to draw Western militaries closer to Israel's military.

    • Use this aggressive Russian action to throw our enemies into further confusion (Psalm 129:5).

    • Protect the Kurds and somehow help them to have all the arms they need to defend themselves and defeat the Islamic State forces.

    • Lord, watch over all of Israel's borders. And your eyes shall see, and you shall say, YHWH will be magnified beyond [or "on"; "from"] the border of Israel. (Malachi 1:5)

  6. As of today, US President Obama will host PM Netanyahu at the White House on November 9th - which happens to be the anniversary of Kristallnacht, a major advance in the Nazi persecution of Germany's Jews. When Bibi recently spoke at the UN General Assembly, neither America's UN Ambassador nor its Secretary of State were present in the hall. That could have only come from the White House and was a huge slap in the face from Obama to Bibi.

    • Lord, if this is one of the ways in which You are answering our prayers regarding the cutting of any ungodly ties or dependencies between Israel and America - we praise You.

    • When Netanyahu meets with Obama, protect him from all demonic manipulation (Numbers 23:23).

    • If this meeting can be cancelled, do it with all of Israel's current governing coalition being in unity.

    • Surround Netanyahu with godly counsel and wise advisors (Proverbs 20:18).

    • If they meet, give Bibi godly wisdom and an ability to continue to stand for what is best for Israel's security and prosperity (Isaiah 1:26; 60:17b).

    • If this meeting does take place, Lord take Your place as the true Ruler of all the earth and hedge in any plans of man that are not in line with Your will at this time.

    • YHWH brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He breaks the plans of the people. The counsel of YHWH stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations.

      Psalms 33:10-11

    • Blow a trumpet and wake up the American Body of Messiah to see how crucial this meeting could be to the future destiny of that nation (Genesis 12:3a; Numbers 24:9b).

    • Cause the reality of what is really at stake bring many of them to their knees, confessing the sins of their leaders and pleading for mercy on their country (Habakkuk 3:3:2).

  7. We finished by praying for aliyah - the immigration of the Jews from exile to Israel. While we know that very difficult time are in store for this nation and its people, still we are convinced by His Word that Israel is the safest place - for Jews to be in these days.     • From this week's prophetic portion: Fear not; for I am with you. I will bring your seed from the east, and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Do not keep back; bring My sons from far and My daughters from the ends of the earth; everyone who is called by My name; for I have created him for My glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him. (Isaiah 43:5-7)

    • Lord, wake up the Jews in Europe to see that an Islamic jihad-via-immigration is taking place now and that it will soon turn an already dangerous situation for the Jews - to an even more dangerous situation.

    • When the Jews do leave, turn their eyes to Zion and to nowhere else. In those days…says YHWH, the sons of Israel shall come, they and the sons of Judah together, going and weeping. They shall go and seek YHWH their God. They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces there, saying, Come and let us join ourselves to YHWH in an everlasting covenant never to be forgotten. (Jeremiah 50:4-5)

    • Use the increase of anti-Semitism to drive Your people back home (Jeremiah 16:16).

    • Move upon the youth in exile to make aliyah and provoke their elders to jealousy.

    • Provide all of the finances needed for the programs that bring Jews to visit this land - like Birthright - or to help them actually move here - like Nefesh b'Nefesh.

    • When Jews come on tour here, marry them to this land as per Your prophetic promise (Isaiah 62:4-5).

    • May Psalm 137 ring in the hearts and minds of all Messianic Jews in exile at this time. How shall we sing YHWH's song in a foreign land? If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget. If I do not remember you, let my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth; if I do not prefer Jerusalem above my chief joy. (Psalms 137:4-6)

    • Open the eyes of believers in the nations that they are supposed to have a part in all this - even to the extent of carrying Your people back on their shoulders (Isaiah 49:22).
