We began our time together with Psalm 138:
A Psalm of David. I will give You thanks with all my heart;
I will sing praises to You before the gods.
I will bow down toward Your holy temple
And give thanks to Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth;
For You have magnified Your word according to all Your name.
On the day I called, You answered me;
You made me bold with strength in my soul.
All the kings of the earth will give thanks to You,
O Lord, When they have heard the words of Your mouth.
And they will sing of the ways of the Lord,
For great is the glory of the Lord.
For though the Lord is exalted,
Yet He regards the lowly,
But the haughty He knows from afar.
Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
You will revive me; You will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies,
And Your right hand will save me.
The Lord will accomplish what concerns me;
Your lovingkindness, O Lord, is everlasting;
Do not forsake the works of Your hands.Thank You, Lord for this beautiful new morning, and for the privilege of being in Your land!
We bless You that Your mercies are new every morning. (Lamentations 3:23)
You are great and worthy to be praised.
This is the day which the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24Thank You for Yeshua, the light of the world. (John 8:12)
Thank You that although You are high, You look upon the lowly. (Isaiah 57:15)
Our lives are in Your hands and we put our trust in You. Thank You that You neither slumber nor sleep. (Psalm 121:4)
Thank You that we were able to celebrate Israel’s 68th birthday this week.
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.
Psalm 118:1
Israeli Independence Day – We are all very grateful that the celebration of Israel’s Independence Day went off without any major violence. With millions of Israelis out on the roads and gathering together in large and small public and private events we were vulnerable to attack by those who hate us and desire our destruction.
Thank You for Your protective hand upon the nation and that
He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
(Psalm 121:4)Thank You for answered prayers to hold back our enemies.
Then my enemies will turn back in the day when I call. This I know, that God is for me.
(Psalm 56:9)Thank You for using Israel’s security services to maintain calm.
The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and He knows those who take refuge in Him.
Nahum 1:7For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.
(Jeremiah 29:11) Thank You for the plans You have for Israel!Thank You Lord for being a light and a salvation (Psalm 27:1) for Israel, a refuge and the One who defends us from our enemies.
Security – As well as praying for the security of Israel’s borders, we focused on praying for our cyber-security and also for the plans being put in place for centralizing Israel’s security administration.
Lord, thank You for the expertise You have given Israel in developing technologies for helping our security.
Lord, we need Your help and Your wisdom for our cyber-security systems, to protect us against computer, virus and similar attacks.
As Israel centralizes it’s security administration, protect us against the vulnerability of having everything and everyone in the same place.
Thank You for the development of technology to detect and destroy tunnels intended to infiltrate Israel from Gaza or Lebanon or wherever.
No weapon that is formed against you will prosper.
Isaiah 54:17The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them.
Psalm 34:7You will be far from… terror, for it will not come near you.
Isaiah 54:14Those who contend with you will be as nothing and will perish.
Isaiah 41:11God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1You will not be afraid of the terror by night, or of the arrow that flies by day
Psalm 91:5Thank You for every attack You have prevented before anyone ever knew about it.
O Israel, trust in the Lord; He is their help and their shield.
Psalm 115:9What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
Romans 8:31Thank You for Your protection of our borders. Thank You for turning back enemy flotillas coming at us from the seas.
Thank You that President Sisi in Egypt and King Abdullah in Jordan are largely recognizing that their needs are best served by supporting Israel.
Israel’s leaders and government
Thank You for Binyamin Netanyahu and for placing him in the leadership of Israel at this time.
Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand.
(Psalm 80:17) – Binyamin means ‘son of the right hand’.May the government last exactly the amount of time You have ordained for it. And please keep Mr Netanyahu in position for exactly as long as You have ordained for him.
Raise up the individual or individuals You have appointed to be the next leader or leaders when Mr Netanyahu’s time comes to Your appointed end.
Let Your word have its right place in the Netanyahu household.
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
(Psalm 119:105)Protect the families of those in leadership so they may be in unity and not an undue distraction from the task of ruling the nation.
BDS Movement – The Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement continues to work through governments, media, the academic world, etc. seeking to delegitimize the State of Israel.
Lord, please expose the lies and deception and bring out the truth.
… And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.
(John 8:32)Turn on its head the boycott of goods from Judea and Samaria, so that more of these goods will be sold rather than less.
Bring down the arrogance of those in the academic world who use the respect in which they are held to influence others.
The UK – London has just elected the first Moslem mayor of a major European city. Buses in major cities across Britain are displaying the phrase, “Subhan (Praise) Allah” as a publicity campaign by the Moslem community. Next month the UK holds a referendum to decide about staying in or leaving the European Union. Much of UK policy towards Israel seems to be driven by the anti-Semitic tendencies of the EU. Also Eliyahu, Chuck and Devin are leading the annual Israel prayer week in Scotland.
Lord, have Your hand over the people of the UK as they prepare to vote about membership of the EU.
Expose the deceptions surrounding membership of the EU. What it involves and what it would involve if the UK votes to leave.
Anoint Mark Regev, Israel’s ambassador to the UK, to speak truth with boldness, not shackled by political correctness.
Give boldness to Your people in the churches across the UK to speak the truth regarding the threat which Islam is to the nationhood and values of the UK.
May Your people speak the truth about Israel and expose the lies.
Anoint Prime Minister David Cameron to speak up for and stand with Israel.
Give Eliyahu, Chuck and Devin Your anointing of wisdom, discernment and health to lead the conference in Scotland. Watch over and protect their families at home.
The Body of Messiah in Israel
But the Levitical priests, the sons of Zadok, who kept charge of My sanctuary when the sons of Israel went astray from Me, shall come near to Me to minister to Me; and they shall stand before Me to offer Me the fat and the blood,” declares the Lord God. “They shall enter My sanctuary; they shall come near to My table to minister to Me and keep My charge.
Ezekiel 44:15-16…you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 2:5Give Your anointing, Lord, to Your body in this land to rise to our calling as Your priesthood.
Show us what it means for this to be a corporate calling not just us being called as individuals.
Reveal Yourself to us as we gather in our congregations this weekend.
Anoint the reading and teaching and hearing of Your word among us!
‘Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee, ‘How great Thou art! How great Thou art!’
Thank you for remembering Eliyahu, Chuck and Devin in your prayers during the Scotland conference week, and also lift up Chuck after that as he ministers for another week in England.
Shabbat Shalom from the IFI team!
