Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
Know that the Lord, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves:
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.
Psalm 100
- Thank You that You are God and You are good.
- You are the same yesterday, today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)
- Your mercies are everlasting. You are faithful and trustworthy and You keep all Your promises. (Psalm 37:3)
- You are on the throne. You are in control.
Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever!
(Revalations 5:13)
- The name of Yeshua is the name above every name, at which every knee shall bow. (Philippians 2:9-10)
-
There is none like You.
2 Samuel 7:22
- We also belong to You. We are Your family, Your sheep, You purchased us and we can speak directly to You.
- “Majesty, worship His majesty. Unto Yeshua be all glory, honor and praise…”

Security in the North
Hezbollah is a proxy of Iran and possibly the greatest immediate danger to Israel with some 130.000 rockets aimed at us. They have been impacted by their involvement in the chaos which is Syria, fighting with Iran to keep Assad in power there. Israel, while officially neutral regarding Syria, would like to see the Shi’ite axis of power (Iran-Iraq-Syria-Lebanon) broken. There are reports of Hezbollah seeking to establish control in the Golan Heights giving access to Israel.
- Thank You, Lord for keeping Hezbollah pre-occupied in Syria and for expending their resources there.
- Thank You for Israel’s strong response to any deliberate or accidental shelling on the Golan Heights.
- Keep Israel’s security forces in the North alert on their watch. Keep them strong and courageous and guard them against kidnappings.
- Protect our spies and keep them hidden. Help them to discover the plans of our enemies even things spoken in their bedrooms. (2 Kings 6:12)
- Give our leaders unity and wisdom to know where to deploy our forces.
- Give unity between Prime Minister Netanyahu, Defense Minister Liberman and Chief of Staff Eizenkott.
-
For the day of the Lord upon all the nations is near; as you have done, it shall be done to you; your reprisal shall return upon your own head.
Obadiah 15
- Lord, would You deal with the enemies of Israel as You have promised! Strike fear into them and let them recognize that You are God.
-
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

Israeli Palestinian talks
Last week we prayed about the planned Palestinian municipal elections. This week we hear that these have been suspended by the Palestinian court. Meanwhile, Russia is exerting its growing influence in the region by seeking to broker renewed talks between Israel and the Palestinians.
- Thank You for the suspension of the municipal elections. Thank You that we can see this as a quick answer to our prayers.
- Please give Israel’s leaders wisdom and discernment regarding the involvement of Russia. Show them the traps which are being laid so they can avoid them.
- Expose the true motives of Russian and its leader Vladimir Putin. As they seek to flex their muscles may their pride be their undoing!
- Set Binyamin Netanyahu’s forehead like flint (Ezekiel 3:9) and guide him by Your voice.
For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly.
(Proverbs 2:6-7) We ask these things for Mr Netanyahu regarding this Russian initiative.

US Elections
Russia’s recent rise has been filling the vacuum created by the retreat of the USA on the international stage. The coming elections are, therefore, particularly crucial, not only for America, but for Israel and the world.
- Let Your will be done through the coming elections!
- Speak to the Church in the USA. Convict them of their call to pray for the government and to vote.
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority.
(1 Timothy 2:1-2)
- Let the candidates for President listen to wise counsel. Increase the authority of Vice-Presidential candidate Mike Pence, who is a strong believer.
- Bring truth into the light in this election. Expose all corruption and silence the lies of the media.
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
(2 Chronicles 7:14) We ask this for the Church and the people of the USA.

Palestinian Leadership
Mahmoud Abbas is aging and will eventually be replaced. The potential replacements (Barghouti, Dahlan and the Hamas leaders) all seem even worse than he is.
- Lord raise up the leader or leaders of Your choice.
- Have mercy on the Palestinians so they might have a leader, a statesman who does not seek the destruction of Israel but someone who will pursue the blessing of his people through blessing Israel.
I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
(Genesis 12:3)
- Yet, Lord, protect Israel from being deceived into dividing Your land.
-
Hajj
Today is the beginning of the annual pilgrimage to Mecca by the Muslims of the world. We prayed for their salvation.
- Take out a harvest of Muslims during the hajj this year!
- Open their eyes and show them that Allah is not God and meet with them in revelations of Yeshua in dreams and visions.
Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we have escaped.
(Psalm 124:7) Break the snare which holds the Muslims captive!
- Lord, protect the believers who come from Muslim backgrounds and empower them with Your Holy Spirit to share the gospel with their brethren.

Israel’s Salvation
We are in the month of Elul, which in Judaism is traditionally a time for self-examination and repentance – getting right with both God and man – leading up to Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement).
- May the blast of the shofar (blown daily in the synagogues in this season) pierce the hearts of the Jewish people, calling them to true repentance.
- May Your people’s repentance lead to a harvest of Jewish people recognizing and meeting with Yeshua.
- Reveal the King of the Jews to the Jewish people this month. Reveal the truth in Your word and reveal Yourself in dreams and visions also to the Jews.
-
I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! But through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to the Gentiles. Now if their fall is riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness!… For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?
Romans 11:11,12,15
- Is it not time to bring back life to the Jewish people?
- Let them recognize Yeshua as the Jewish messiah who is able to take away sin.
-
And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity.
Jeremiah 29:13-14
- Thank You, Lord, that neither America nor Russia will save the nation of Israel, but You will.
And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.
(John 12:32) Draw Jews and Moslems to Yourself, O God!

Water
The land of Israel is in a time of drought. The water level in the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) is so low that a new island has been exposed.
-
I will open rivers in desolate heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
Isaiah 41:18
- We appeal to You, God, to create water in the mountains and the valleys, in the wilderness and the dry land.
- At this season we ask for the early rains and for abundant rain and snow throughout the coming winter months.
- Fill up the Kinneret to the top during this rainy season.
- Have mercy on Your people and on Your land!
-
For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength.
Job 37:6
But the land …is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of heaven, a land for which the Lord your God cares; the eyes of the Lord your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.
(Deuteronomy 11:11-12) May this be a year when the land drinks plentifully!

New IDF Recruits
While recruitment into the IDF takes place all year round, we were burdened today to pray for this process.
- Make the transition smooth for all these boys and girls (most are only 18 years old). Protect their emotions – especially the girls. May they be found roles in which they will be able to grow and serve.
- Give these young people a heart for their country, for each other and even for warfare!
-
God is my strength and power, and He makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places. He teaches my hands to make war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your gentleness has made me great.
2 Samuel 22:33-36
- Anoint their commanders and officers that their training would be the best in the world.
- Help the parents of new recruits to release their kids to the armed forces, enabling them to have confidence in those in authority.
- Protect and use the believers going into the IDF. Help them find other believers alongside them. Send them out two by two so they will not be alone.
- Show yourself real in the lives of Your children so others will be drawn to the reality of Yeshua in them.
- Chuck continues to minister in the USA (see our Events page) and greatly values our prayers.
Shabbat Shalom from Jerusalem!
