1. Praise:

   The prophetic portion contains a wonderful prophecy of God's goal with His nation Israel – and spiritually it applies to believers in Messiah Yeshua as well: Therefore thus says YHWH, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, Jacob shall not be ashamed, nor shall his face wax pale, but when he sees his children, the work of My hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify My name, and sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel. (Isa. 29:22-23; cp. 8:13)

   • We praise You for reminding us that our goal is Your glory (Psa. 115:1-3; John 12:27-28).

   • We trust that You, who know the end from the beginning (Isa. 46:9-10), will lead us in paths of righteousness for Your name's sake (Psa. 23:3b).

   • Lord, thank You that sanctifying Your name is how You taught us to start our prayers (Luke 11:2).

   • As we fight with our old nature, we rejoice that even after You changed Jacob's name to Israel, You still called Yourself the God of Jacob throughout the rest of the Word (Psa. 20:1; 46:7; Matt. 22:32).

   • We bless You that Your thoughts are of peace towards us and towards Israel (Jer. 29:11).

   • Thank You that we already have Your peace in our Overcomer – the Lord Yeshua (John 16:33).

   • Regardless of what we see, hear or feel, You are sovereign and Lord of all (Psa. 99:1; Acts 10:36).

   • We praise You for the gift of Your Word – which as an expression of Your essential nature – never changes, but remains Your standard for Your people (Psa. 119:89; Amos 7:7-8; Mal. 3:6).

2. Government:

   We have prayed, in line with Isaiah 1:25-26, for God to clear out the dross from Israel's political scene and restore righteousness. While we see progress with Israel's new coalition, God's goal as described in these verses requires us to continue in prayer and ask Him to complete it.

   • Lord, only You can move on Your people, especially the politicians, and create a nation that serves You in righteousness as these verses from the prophetic portion say You will do eventually: In that day shall YHWH of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, to the remnant of His people, and for a spirit of justice to him that sits in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate. (Isa. 28:5-6) We say amen, and please hasten this day, Lord.

   • Use Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu's coalition as a tool in Your hands for Your glory (Psa. 115:1).

   • Anoint Netanyahu and all of the ministers with wisdom and counsel from above (Prov. 8:15-16).

   • Surround each minister with godly advisors and deafen them to any others (Prov. 11:14; 15:22).

   • Block anything the new coalition wants to legislate that is not in line with Your Word (Prov. 16:9).

   • Do not allow today's humanistic political correctness, from either inside or out of Israel, to prevent the coalition from doing all that is in line with Your will for Israel today (Isa. 32:1).

   • May Your timing and priorities rule in all laws and bills brought before the Knesset (Psa. 31:15).

   • In this fight of the sons of Zion against the sons of Greece, help the Zionists prevail (Zech. 9:13-17).

   • Give Justice Minister Yariv Levin wisdom to steer through the dangerous rapids that are assaulting him as he works to bring much needed changes in Israel's judicial system (Ezra 7:25; Psa. 2:10-12).

   • If any of his changes need modifying – Lord, please modify them (Prov. 19:21).

   • Download a spirit of biblically-based justice into all of Israel's current judges (Psa. 89:14; 99:4).

   • Guide Netanyahu and Finance Minister Smotrich as they tackle the very high cost of living in Israel.

   • Convict the opposition about stirring up civil strife and incitement among Israelis (Prov. 6:16-19).

   • Lord God of Israel, let Your fear fall on Israel's media resulting in true reports of events, as well as a clear distinction between news reports and opinion pieces (Psa. 109:2; Prov. 12:19).

3. Foreign diplomacy:

   Netanyahu's government was condemned by most of the world before it was even established. This is a sign of what the future holds as many nations rage against God and His nation as Israel endeavors to pass laws that bring it more in line with His Word (Psa. 2:1-3).

   • Lord, these who rage against Israel are in reality Your enemies (Psa. 83:1-4), so we ask that You not keep silent, nor hold Your peace, (83:1), but arise and scatter them (Psa. 68:1).

   • We do not want to pray against anything You are doing to prepare the way for the return of Messiah Yeshua (Zech. 12:1-10; 14:1-4), therefore please guide us as we do pray (Psa. 32:8).

   • As You told Moses in the Torah portion, so be with Netanyahu, Foreign Minister Eli Cohen, and Israel's Minister for Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer, and give them words to speak to the nations who condemn Israel when it does Your will (Ex. 4:11-12; Psa. 33:10-11).

   • Create out of these men a strong and unified diplomatic threefold cord (Eccl. 4:12).

   • Show Israel when to leave the anti-God UN and be a nation set apart unto You (Num. 23:9b).

   • Expose all of the global media's lies and distortions about Israel, putting them to shame (Job 8:22).

   • Stop former PM Lapid from his traitorous behavior of trying to influence US Jewish groups to not cooperate with Israel's new government and even to help bring in down (Dan. 6:22; 2 Tim. 3:1-4).

4. Internal security:

   God continues to remind us of His desire for His people to possess all of His land (Obad. 1:17). After all, He has promised His land to His people over 200 times in the Tanach.

   • Let Israel's leaders read and be convicted by Judges 2:1-4 – and then act on it.

   • Give the new coalition the courage to extend Israel's sovereignty over all of Your land (Isa. 60:21).

   • Yet if, as is most likely, they need to start with small steps, then lead them to not stop until all of the land west of the Jordan River is under complete Israeli rule (Ex. 23:27-33).

   • Use the coalition to aid the settlements in Judea and Samaria to grow and prosper (Jer. 32:41-44).

   • Show them how to stop the EU-financed illegal PA building in Area C, and also show them how to use many of these houses and building blocks for new Jewish immigrants (Deut. 6:10-13).

   • Guard over the relationship between new Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and the IDF's new Chief of Staff Hertzi Halevi, enabling them to work together for Israel's good (2 Chr. 35:3b; Psa. 145:4).

   • God, prevent the IDF leadership from resisting any changes which are of You in their relationship with elected government ministers – to whom they are supposed to be submitted (Rom. 13:1-4).

   • In line with the prophetic portion, be strength to them that turn the battle to the gate (Isa. 28:6b).

   • Thank You for the government punishing the Palestinian Authority [PA] for its global efforts to drag Israel before the International Criminal Court in The Hague (Prov. 19:5, 9).

   • Let this be the death knell of the "two-state solution" for most Israelis (Lev. 25:23; Joel 3:1-2).

   • Increase the confusion, division and fear inside the PA (Psa. 40:14-15).

   • Increase the effectiveness of all branches of Israel's security forces against terrorism (Psa. 44:4-8).

   • Prepare the IDF for the day after Abbas is removed from being the PA's dictator (Prov. 16:1).

   • Release Your angels to make up any gaps in the security shield over Your people (2 Kin. 6:15-17).

5. External security:

   Iran is being diverted by its internal chaos and by its allying with Russia in the war against Ukraine. Yet they are still moving forward to develop nuclear weapons.

   • Use the massive demonstrations in Iran to bring down that Shi'ite theocracy (Jer. 49:38).

   • Use Iranian believers to add much salt and light to those resisting radical Islam (Matt. 5:13-16).

   • Prepare the next leadership of Iran to be ready to step into the political vacuum (Isa. 44:28).

   • Cause Iran's internal upheaval to curtail its use of its proxies to attack Israel (2 Sam. 10:6-19).

   • Captain of heaven's hosts, if Israel needs to pre-empt either Iran or Hizbullah, or both, reveal to the IDF's Iran Command Your timing and Your methods (Josh. 5:13-6:5; Prov. 21:30-31).

   • Give Netanyahu divine wisdom when relating to both Ukraine and to Russia (1 Kin. 3:28).

   • Let him do what is best for Israel and not give in to Western pressure – especially as most Western nations have consistently been Israel's worse "friends" (Psa. 118:1-9; Isa. 31:1-6).

   • We bless You for Your protection over Your nation and its people – both sovereignly (Psa. 121:4) and through the IDF (Ezek. 37:10).

   • Empower and equip the IDF to defend Israel against all future challenges (Isa. 41:10-16).

   • Thank You for answering prayers in providing the IDF with new "witty inventions" (Prov. 8:12).

   • Lord, cause there to be rapid advancement in the new weapons systems, making the IDF the head of nations in this area (Deut. 28:7, 13).

   • God, give major and sudden breakthroughs to Israel's cyberwarfare and laser weaponry's defensive and offensive capabilities (Isa. 28:26).

6. Aliyah:

   Russia's war against Ukraine was the main factor causing the number of immigrants [olim] to Israel to more than double and reach 74,370 in 2022. We bless God for this increase, yet it is also very frightening as the steep increase of anti-Semitism does not seem to be having the same effect in loosening the Jews from their comfort zones in the West. So what will it take?

   • Lord, aliyah is for Your holy name's sake (Ezek. 36:21-24), so with as much mercy as possible bring Your people home from all the nations to where they are scattered (Isa. 43:5-7; Jer. 31:10).

   • Shake up the Jews who are too comfortable in today's Babylon, and in Your zeal return them and their children to Zion/Jerusalem/Israel (Psa. 137:1-6; Joel 3:16; Zech. 8:1-8; 10:8).

   • Cut their umbilical cord with their birth nation and create a biblical cord with Israel (Psa. 106:47).

   • Bring home all Jews hidden in smaller nations and those who are trapped in nations that refuse to let them leave (Deut. 30:3-5; Psa. 107:2-3).

   • Thank You for watching over this word from the prophetic portion: He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit. (Isa. 27:6)

   • Lord, may the new coalition aid this verse to come to pass in all of its fullness today (Jer. 1:12).

   • Provide all that the new olim needs – physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually – so that they rejoice in their decision to return to Israel and not even consider returning to "Egypt" (Amos 9:14-15).

   • Reunite families in Israel of Jews who fled from Ukraine and Russia (Jer. 31:8-10).

   • Bring back the "Yordim" – Israelis who left Israel and have no plans to return (Ruth 1:6).

   • Impart revelation to all Christian Zionists who do not yet have Your burden for aliyah (Isa. 49:22).

7. Salvation:

   Historically, nations have passed righteous laws because the people were righteous. To expect Israel to be a righteous, God-obedient people before they are saved is a false expectation that has never been fulfilled by any nation. Therefore, let's persist in praying for all Israel to be saved.

   • O YHWH, save Your people, the remnant of Israel.Jer. 31:7; cp. Psa. 28:9

   • You promised that when You return Your exiles to the land, You will cleanse and pardon them for the honor of Your name; therefore we ask You to do this at this season (Deut. 30:5-6; Jer. 33:7-9).

   • For Your name's sake, show many Israelis that You have already atoned for their sins (Psa. 79:9).

   • Lord, turn Israel's politicians to You; cause Your face to shine on them and save them (Psa. 80:3, 7).

   • We pray for the openly-gay Knesset Speaker Ohana and his "husband," that You would draw them to You and use their salvation to impact many in Israel's gay community (Matt. 9:13; Mark 2:17).

   • Infect many observant Jews with a holy dissatisfaction of repeating rabbinic traditions (Mark 7:13) yet not sensing that they are drawing nearer to You or You to them (Psa. 42:1-2; 84:2).

   • Lord, save a huge remnant from the ultra-Orthodox, including rabbis; modern religious-Zionist Jews living on the mountains of Judea and Samaria; many Ethiopian, Russian, Ukrainian and other Jews who have recently made aliyah; very wealthy and very poor Israelis; IDF soldiers and Jews in Israel's other security forces; survivors of terror attacks and families of terror victims; criminals; prisoners; sex traffickers and sex slaves; hippies; new age and occult practitioners; teachers; scientists; medical professionals; Holocaust survivors and their families; and unbelieving members of Messianic Jewish families (Isa. 46:13).

   • Draw many who are not seeking You, surprising them with Messiah Yeshua's love (Isa. 65:1b).

   • Is it not time Lord, for You to tell all secret Jewish believers to confess You openly (Matt. 10:32)?

   • Bring whole families to faith in Yeshua as their Messiah (Josh. 24:15b; Acts 16:31).

   • Yeshua Lord, give Your heart for Your people to Your Body (Matt. 23:37-39; Rom. 9:1-3).

   • Anoint more gentile believers – especially Arab brothers and sister – to know how to provoke Jews to jealousy (Rom. 11:11).

8. Body of Messiah:

   There will be increased attacks against Israel, Messiah's people, and against His Body, and often the enemy will try to set one against the other – in order to weaken both.

   • Show Christian Zionists the need to exercise spiritual discernment concerning the twisted and too often demonic media coverage of Israel and its new government (Heb. 5:14).

   • Show more believers in the nations of their obligation to pray for their governments (2 Tim. 2:1-4), and of God's desire for them to stand in the gap for their nations so that His judgement does not fall in all of its fury (Ezek. 22:30) because of their nations constant cursing of Israel (Num. 24:9b).

   • Lord Yeshua, pour out on Your Body a deeper hunger and thirst of all of Your Word – that is the full counsel of God – which starts at Genesis (Jer. 15:16; Acts 20:27).

   • Anoint more believers in politics to stand openly for You and Your Word (Dan. 3:16-18).

9. Water:

   Rain and snow is usually seen by Israelis as a gift from God (Amos 9:6).

   • Thank You for the gentle rains which You have poured out until now (Job 5:9-10; 36:26-29).

   • Lord, we are asking for You to open the heavens and let the heavy winter rains to fall (Psa. 68:9).
