Praise:
To be alive today to see the many prophecies God is fulfilling is an amazing privilege and a responsibility as we are to be His witnesses. As we make ourselves available to do that, the Holy Spirit helps us to fulfill those works that He has already ordained for us (Acts 1:8; Eph. 2:10).
-
Lord, we bless You that both the Body of believers and the nation of Israel are Your witnesses in this world declaring that You – the God of the Bible – are the One True God (Isa. 43:9-10; 44:8).
-
We praise You for Your Word which helps us to understand how You are working in today's world in preparation for Your glorious return (Psa. 119:169).
-
Regardless of how we feel, or our circumstances, we bless You for reading in the Psalms that we can make a decision of our will to praise You and expect Your help (Psa. 42:5, 11; 43:5).
-
We confess and thank You that Your "name" – Your essential nature – is the strong tower which we who are righteous in Messiah Yeshua can trust in and find safety (Prov. 18:10; 2 Cor. 5:21).
-
Thank You for calling us to be like the builders under Nehemiah who both prayed and were alert as the enemy resisted the rebuilding of Jerusalem's walls (Neh. 4:9).
-
Lord, as we pray, we ask for the faith to trust that You will fight for us and for Israel (Neh. 4:20).
-
Not unto us YHWH, not unto us, but unto Your name give glory, for Your mercy, and Your truth's sake. Why should the gentiles say, 'Where is their God?' But our God is in the heavens; He has done whatsoever He has pleased.
(Psa. 115:1-3) Amen!

Government and society:
The government is continuing to press forward with its programs, including the judicial reform. The fact that the judicial reform is being spoken against by so many other nation's leaders – like America's Democrats and Germany's President – indicates that this must be of God as the strongest reactions against Israel occur only when it is doing God's will.
-
Lord, You are the One who raises up and removes national leaders, so we bless You for raising up PM Bibi Netanyahu and Israel's current coalition for this time (Dan. 2:21; 4:17b, 25b; 5:21b).
-
Protect all the current ministers from assassinations and use even the threat of that to draw them all closer to You, giving them the gift of Your fear (Job 28:28; Prov. 14:27).
-
Raise up the Josephs, the sons of Issachar and the mighty men like those who were drawn to David to surround all of Israel's ministers with godly wisdom and advice (1 Chr. 12:32; Prov. 11:14; 15:12).
-
Use Bibi's coalition members to help him resist US pressure concerning the Palestinians, judicial reforms, and expanding sovereignty in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria (Psa. 118:6; Prov. 29:25).
-
Anoint and use Netanyahu for as long as it is still in Your will to do so (Psa. 75:5-7; Prov. 21:1).
-
Develop a close working relationship between Bibi and Foreign Minister Eli Cohen (Psa. 133:1).
-
Grant divine wisdom to Finance Minister Smotrich to improve Israel's economy (Deut. 28:2-6).
-
Separate Israel's banks from the fallout of bank failures that we are beginning to see (Num. 23:9b).
-
Help National Security Minister Ben-Gvir to strengthen the police and provide better security for all of Israel's citizens – both Jews and Arabs (Rom. 13:3-4).
-
Teach Smotrich and Ben-Gvir that it is easier to not say a word than it is to try and take it back, or to try and explain that that was really not what you meant to say (Prov. 10:19).
-
Let this government build up Judea and Samaria despite the world's opposition (Isa. 44:24-26).
-
Use Justice Minister Levin's proposed judicial reforms to bring Isaiah 1:24-26 closer to fulfillment.
-
Lord, we desire to see some judicial reforms passed as soon as possible and ask that You would both do that and end up receiving all of the glory (Psa. 50:15).
-
Let the coalition become even more focused to pass these reforms as they see nations sticking their nose into Israel's internal affairs and lecturing it about democracy (Psa. 33:10-11; 82:8).
-
Have the last word concerning any modifications or compromises that should be made (Prov. 19:21).
-
War against the spirit guiding the anti-reform demonstrations as its leaders are on record as saying in the recent past that judicial reform is needed and are now basically calling for a civil war (Psa. 66:7).
-
Lord, may the end result be that justice and righteousness flow through the land (Amos 5:24).
-
-
Internal security:
Hamas and other terrorist groups and individuals have increased attacks on both civilians and soldiers. While the recent loss of life is very painful, we are asking God to show Israel's politicians, its military leaders and its citizens that there is no "peace-partner" on the Palestinian side, and therefore now is the time for Israel to extend its sovereignty over all of the land from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.
-
We know that You want Israel to possess all of its God-given possessions as You are today planting Israel back in Your land with all of Your heart and soul (Jer. 32:41-44; Obad. 1:17). Hallelujah!
-
Let those ministers who want to see Israel extend its sovereignty push this so that at least the Jordan Valley and the E1 corridor northwest of Jerusalem are fully repossessed (Jer. 30:3; 32:15).
-
Divinely influence Israel's current coalition to approve the building up and expansion of all Israeli communities throughout Judea and Samaria (Jer. 33:12-14; Ezek. 36:5-11).
-
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has made some decisions that are at best questionable, therefore we ask that You to either straighten him out or remove him (Prov. 20:24).
-
Continue to use the IDF to "neutralize" terrorists before they kill more Israelis (Rom. 13:2-3).
-
Enable the IDF's aggressive Break the Wave Operation to be even more successful as Ramadan is approaching and forbid it from stopping when Ramadan starts (Eccl. 8:11).
-
Increase the accurate actionable intelligence that Israel seems to miraculously obtain (Obad. 1:6).
-
Prepare Israel for the day after Palestinian President Abbas is removed (Isa. 42:9).
-
If civil war then breaks out between various Palestinian factions, do not let Israel get involved other than to protect Israeli civilians living near Palestinian areas (Psa. 37:1-2, 10, 12-15; Prov. 26:17).
-
Provide protection on Israel's roads from both traffic accidents and terror attacks (Psa. 121:8).
-
Continue to embolden Foreign Minister Cohen who just lambasted EU foreign policy chief J. Borrell for daring to compare IDF anti-terror operations with Palestinian terror attacks (Isa. 5:20).
-
-
External security:
Iran and Saudi Arabia have restored political ties, and only God knows what that really entails. While this seems to be bad news for Israel, it has not taken God by surprise.
-
Lord, when we see things like this, we rejoice that You reign (Psa. 33:10-11; 103:19; Prov. 21:30).
-
Please impart to the IDF's Iran Command all the intelligence and wisdom that they need in order to know exactly what Iran is planning and how to defend Israel (Psa. 44:4-6; 68:5).
-
Again we ask for You to reveal any intelligence that Israel needs and has missed (Job 12:22).
-
Show them how to war against Iran's proxies around Israel: Hizbullah in Lebanon and Syria, Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza and in parts of Judea and Samaria – and any others (Psa. 83:1-5, 16-19).
-
If Israel needs to pre-empt Iran, which seems likely, let them do it without letting other nations know including unfortunately, their too-often back-stabbing "best ally/friend" America (Prov. 11:13).
-
Give Israel's military industries major breakthroughs with laser technology, electromagnetic pulse weaponry, cyber-warfare, and in the careful, but effective, use of artificial intelligence (Prov. 21:31).
-
We give You thanks for setting Your throne in Iran – ancient Elam – through the growing Body of believers (Jer. 49:38a), and pray that You minister deeply to them (Eph. 1:15-23).
-
Remove all vestiges of anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism from the Iranian Body (Eph. 5:27).
-
We ask that You would sovereignly destroy Iran's evil ruler and all of his henchmen (Jer. 49:38b).
-
Move supernaturally and shatter all of Iran's nuclear facilities (Joel 3:16).
-
King of kings – cut off any financial support that keeps Iran's evil regime in power (Psa. 75:10).
-
Drain the economies of every nation which continues to support Iran's dictatorial regime while at the same time condemning Israel's democratic judicial reforms (Gen. 27:29b; Num. 24:9b).
-
-
Aliyah:
It is God's will for all Jews to return to Israel, but we read that only a remnant will come home (Isa. 10:21-22; 11:11, 16). Yet we believe that through our persistent petitions about the aliyah that remnant will end up being larger than if we did not pray (1 John 5:14-15).
-
Lord, sanctify Your name today through the return of Your people to Your land (Ezek. 36:23-24).
-
In line with Your declared Word, continue gathering in Your remnant from all the nations where You have scattered them (Jer. 23:3; 31:10).
-
Gather Your people in from the farthest corners of the earth (Isa. 41:8-10; 43:5-6).
-
Thank You for the huge increase of Jews from the former Soviet Union during the first two months of 2023 compared even to last year, with the number of Russians up more than 400% (Jer. 31:8-9)!
-
Lion of Judah, roar and scare the exile out of the Jews in the West (Hos. 11:10; Zech. 8:7).
-
Cause every Jew in exile hear You say that making aliyah is what they must do now (Isa. 30:21).
-
Convict all observant Jews in exile, along with many Messianic Jews, that singing Your song in a foreign land is just not right (Psa. 137:4).
-
Especially convict them when they once again declare "Next year in Jerusalem" at the conclusion of the upcoming Passover feast – while most just do not mean it (Psa. 15:4b; Matt. 5:37).
-
Lord, apply the last two requests to any Israelis currently living among the gentiles (Jer. 50:4-5).
-
Marry to Your land all Jewish youth who visit Israel on various programs (Isa. 62:4-5).
-
As they return to their land, help them to grow such deep roots that they will have no desire for the life they had back in exile (Psa. 80:9; Isa. 27:6; 37:31).
-
Supply all groups working to bring Your people home– both Jewish and Christian – with all that they need to do just that (Isa. 49:22; Phil. 4:19).
-
Reveal to more gentile believers that You have already prophesied that they are supposed to help the Jews return to Israel – financially and in many other ways (Isa. 60:3-12).
-
-
Salvation:
What was said under aliyah also applies to salvation as it will only be a remnant that will be saved. Yet again, our intercession does affect the size of that remnant (Psa. 14:7; 53:6).
-
We cry out to You,
O YHWH, save Your people, the remnant of Israel
(Jer. 31:7a). -
Pour out a spirit of repentance on Your people and once again turn them unto You (Psa. 80:3, 7, 19).
-
You promised to give Your people a new heart and spirit and to put Your Spirit within them when You brought them back to the land – so Abba, do that with many Israelis today (Ezek. 36:24, 26-27).
-
Is it not time for You to remove the blindness that You temporarily placed on Jewish minds in order that gentiles could be saved (Rom. 11:25)?
-
Father God, draw Israelis to Your Son, their Messiah and King, Yeshua (John 6:44), specifically we ask for the following groups: Holocaust survivors; Orthodox Jews and rabbis; ex-Orthodox Jews; "settlers" on Israel's mountains; soldiers, sailors, pilots, career soldiers and all others in the IDF; judges and lawyers; politicians; descendants of Messianic Jews; hippies and New Agers; radical left-wing liberals; gay communities; prostitutes and all involved in sex-trafficking; professors and other teachers; abortion doctors and others in the medical profession; survivors of terror attacks; families of terror victims; the high-tech industry; media personnel; actors, actresses, producers and directors; and many others [Please add any others whom God places on your heart.] (Rom. 11:26).
-
Speak to the many Israeli closet believers to come out and witness for Messiah (Luke 12:8-9).
-
Anoint Jewish and gentile believers to truly provoke unsaved Jews to jealousy (Rom. 11:11-14).
-
-
Body of Messiah:
Without seeing Israel as God sees it, the Church cannot really see what He is doing to wrap up this age, or where we might be on His timeclock. Yet most believers barely have Israel on their radar, let alone see it as the apple of His eye (Zech. 2:8).
-
Abba, as we see the world through the "apple" – that is the pupil – of our eye, reveal to believers that You view the nations and the Church through how they deal with Your people (Gen. 12:3a).
-
Lord, help Your Body to interpret the Tanach prophecies the way You and the early believers did, which is to take seriously the literal meaning first (Mark 14:27; 15:28; Luke 4:21; John 13:18; 19:28).
-
Then let them perceive how You are fulfilling Your Word literally in and through Israel today (Psa. 147:2; Isa. 43:5-7; Jer. 31:10; Ezek. 36:8-12; 37:10; Amos 9:13-15; Zech. 8:1-8; 12:2-3).
-
Pour out a deep hunger to read all of Your Word on Your Body (Psa. 119:18, 49-50; Jer. 15:16).
-
Open the minds of born-again believers to the fact that when the New Testament quotes or refers to "scripture" or God's "word"– the only "scripture" or "word" that was around in those days was the Tanach (2 Tim. 3:15-17). [Do you trust what the New Testament says about the Old Testament?]
-
Then let them be profoundly affected by this verse from Yeshua's prayer for His disciples:
Sanctify them in Your truth: Your word is truth.
(John 17:17)
-
-
Water:
God is hearing our prayers as we are in the midst of a couple of rainy weeks.
-
Thank You merciful Lord for giving this nation all the water it needs (Matt. 5:45b).
-
Continue to rain on Your land with these wonderful showers of blessings (Ezek. 34:26).
-
Lord God, totally fill the Sea of Galilee and all of Israel's underground aquifers (Deut. 11:11-12).
-
-
IFI:
We treasure your prayers against discouragement and for the ability to hear the voice of our Shepherd leading us in prayer at this very chaotic time here in Israel. Please ask the Lord to raise up the next generation of leaders if He wants this ministry to continue – unless of course, He is so near to returning that we are the last generation (Rev. 22:20)! Thank you.
Shabbat shalom and blessings from Zion
